Hlomax-

Can you post some pics when you have them set up in your theater? Great story, BTW. I'm thinking about picking up six of them.....

Yeah, I checked your build right after I posted that. Looks like you are in the thick of it. Good luck!

Just bought two of them. Tomorrow will buy the third for mi Micro sized HT. Happy with the overall quality for the price. Easy to assemble. More solid than expected, I think they┬┤re going to last more than expected.

David Sal or Hlomax-

Any chance you could provide a few more pics? (Hlomax - if you are keeping them packed, no problem...let us know if you picked them up though...).

Sale ends tomorrow... need to make a decision on whether I want to make the long drive to Kmart (ours closed about 5 years ago).

I was at my local Kmart today and they had a row of 2 in the store for $199!! The chairs didnt look that bad. I am thinking about getting them and trying to add the 1 extra chair for the row of 3. ? yet if thats what i want to do. I will go back tomorrow and sit in them a little bit longer and try and work up a deal for 3.

My Kmart only had three left .. said a truck was due in sometime this weekend..
so i took the 3 and put them on Layaway seeing as i didnt have the Griswald family truckster.... (just my 4 door cavalier) will pick those up tomorrow on my way home from work...

2-2 arm chairs
1-1 arm chair...

still need 3 -1 arm chairs to complete my pirates booty....what a steal...

pics to come
had to sit in them at the store.. feel comfortable to me IMHO
sat there for approx. 20 min... even though they were up on the display shelf..LOL
Even when to housewares and got a couple different size cups to test out the cup holder..

cup holder is an ok size... not too small but again not OVERLY hugh if you're used to drink from a stien ....

nice shot of how they go together

box is still too big for the cavalier .. need the Family Truckster...(Minivan with seats removed)

I am on my way to check them out. My local store said they have plenty of each type in stock. I hope you can join a one arm to a one arm because I need 3 one arms and a two arm to make a row of four.

yes you can join the 1 arms together...the 1 arm have hidden hooks so you could go on forever... wanted to make a love seat but that is not possible from a design aspect...

They must be at least 15" away from wall for full recline!

It would be very interesting if you could switch which side you want the 1 arm side on. This would give you the option of having a love seat in the middle and two singles on the ends... If this is the case you could get a 4 seater for 830 bucks, which doesn't seem too bad. If anyone has purchased these and can comment it'd be greatly appreciated!

I just left Kmart and talking with the guy he said that they were getting MORE of the ARMLESS CHAIRS in soon..YES ARMLESS!! He said this will make a love seat style seat. He told me that they were not for sale yet as they are NEW but they will be coming soon. They had one in the back but could not let me go back to see. He put the display model together and said that they sent him all 3 styles but with instruction NOT to install the armless on the display yet. So there will be an option to make a love seat out of them

Im still on the fence about getting these. All I need is a row of 3. I climbed up on the rack and sat in them for about 10 mins. They were very plush and sat comfy. Reclined very easy, and seamed pretty sturdy. I was hesitant to get real rough with them as they were up on the rack, but i did kinda wiggle around, and bounce on them a little bit until the rack felt like it was going to give....So I hopped down and looked under them a bit to see how they were built. Looked pretty good, the frame work was a little thin but did feel sturdy. I extended the leg rest and pulled it from side to side. It felt a little shaky and I did notice that it looked to be missing some sort of cross bar on the leg rest.(could have been a installer issue?) Overall for the $ seems like a pretty good deal. They had them on sale, the 2 arm for $219 and the single arm for $199.. Im guessing but the no arm when it is for sell would be about $150?

Sounds like the no-arm chair will only let you make a loveseat if you attach to a 2-arm on the right hand side. For a single + loveseat row, or single+loveseat+single etc. I can see that latter configuration being pretty popular, all necessary seating for a family of 4.

A no-arm chair?

Now this is getting interesting.

All that is keeping me from pulling the trigger on these is the worry about future availability. My wife has decided that we can't afford six of them right now (new house)... so I suggested getting a couple at a time for the next few months. She doesn't want a mis-matched set in the future so I'm still on the fence.

Being burned many-a-time by these type of deals, I'm a bit warry.

The other thing the flier said, was that if you put these on your Sears card, you get 6 months with 0% financing and no-payments.

I've learned not to trust any department store item to hang around much longer than the advertised special. Wal-Mart especially is notorious for offering certain items for a couple weeks and then they vanish. Of course they have a much more advanced inventory system than Kmart and can dump low-performing items really fast. Kmart might stock these for years to come, but I don't think anyone knows for sure if that will be true.

I just got back from Kmart and they had plenty of both styles. I got 3 armless and one two arm style so I will make a four seater. I sat in them at the store and they were more comfortable than I thought they would be for the price. I am going to assemble them after the Pats game.....

Also they are not as wide as the box indicates, I measured four seats and it came to 118''

OK, I got them set up and so far so good they are sturdy and very comfortable and the recline mechanism is easy and smooth to operate. One thing is make sure you tighten every bolt and screw you can find because all of them were loose. I don't know if it's from being shipped from place to place but they all needed tightening. I will get some pics up later after I get back from work.................
