Sixaxis Control question

This will sound like a dumb question, but only because I'm a dumb person...
Do the new DualShock 3 controllers also have the sixaxis control built in?

I ask because, I personally don't like motion controlling (hence I stayed clear of the wii). Would I be able to play a game that has sixaxis controls built into it if I don't have a control that supports sixaxis?

Example: I saw the Folklore demo and it looked really cool until I realized you have to jerk the controls around to kill some enemies. Is there a way to opt out of this or is it foundationally built into the design of the game?

I hope I'm making sense...thx all!

The Dual Shock 3 has the tilt sensors. And its use in Folklore is neato burrito.

Yes they do!
The sixaxis was best used in MGS4 imo.

Thx for replying...
Do you know the answer to the second part of my question...is it "opt out-able"? I guess it's not a big deal, but I just want to chill out on my couch after a long day of work and not worry about waving my hands around and stuff.

In -most- games it can be disabled. But not all, unfortunately.

I have forgotten, but what was the sixaxis used for in MGS4?

If done well, the motion controls are awesome, IMO. I love the way they use them in Ratchet & Clank.

No, you can't turn off the motion control of Folklore. However, it doesn't require much movement at all to absorb stuff... just flick your wrist gently and it'll work fine.

Ditto,

But I also don't like how they work in games like Motorstorm & tennis. Very happy I could turn it off with them.

Shaking the controller resets your camo. Not sure if it was used for anything else. I remembered back in the day they said you could control the MKII with it, but it never did that when I played.
