The Clone Wars on Cartoon Network HD 10/3 - Page 8

Well, with this season's finale I guess we now know why Ahsoka is not Anakin's padawan in the theatrical movie.

Good thing, too. They've never really developed her character so it's no big loss.

While they could/should have done more with her, I like the character. She is far better than some other recurring chars (who thankfully haven't made their way into the Clone Wars series all that much).

I think another season (at least) is planned, but with the Disney acquisition, they're not sure what network will air it.

Guess we'll never find out what happens with Ahsoka, Clone Wars has been cancelled according to post in HOTP. Lucasfilm is moving in another direction.

While the studio is no longer producing new episodes for Cartoon Network, we're continuing production on new Clone Wars story arcs that promise to be some of the most thrilling adventures ever seen. Stay tuned for more information on where fans can soon find this bonus content. In the video below, Supervising Director Dave Filoni offers a peek of what is to come in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

I'm a bit confused. The studio isn't working on new episodes, but it is working on new stories. For what? TV specials? Un-aired, but already created episodes that need final touches?

And that clip at the end of the linked video is interesting. Was that one clone the guinea pig for order 66 or was he a "glitch" that lead to the idea of order 66? The theatrical movie had dialog that stated the clones were genetically engineered to follow orders without question. This clone acted more like he was under hypnotic control or something like that rather than blindly following orders.

As for what happens to Ahsoka - unless there is something already out there from Lucasfilm, in my little world she hooked up with Asajj and the duo became one kick-*** bounty hunter team.

They are indeed producing further episodes for a season 6- it's just that they won't be airing on Cartoon Network, and with a new trilogy of films coming, Disney XD may not want to invest it's time and promotional energy on the last season of a pre-existing show (when there's a new animated series they will be getting that's in the planning stages). The current 'speculation' is that these will be released on DVD or pay per view.

Bummer, guess I'll never see them then. Been watching this series from the beginning and it's certainly had its ups and downs, but I know that some of it is because it's a kids' show above all.
