Bose equipment holds its value extremely well, more so than virtually any other manufacturer's stuff. This leaves you two options. One you can buy a model 12 console on ebay. It's probably going to cose somewhat more than $100. Or you can sell the stuff you have and use the proceds for another system. Speakers, sub and remote are all worth money. Sell them individually on ebay.
Most A/V forums do not like Bose. AVS is no different. There are many good reasons to buy Bose, and resale value is certainly one of them. A 10 year old system made by Onkyo, Pioneer, Sony or others is virtually wothless, but the Bose is still worth close to 50% of its original purchase price.
If you're still happy with it, you may want to look for another console, but I think the better choice might be to upgrade, as long as you can afford it.
