Clay is the most despicable person in the show with Gemma not far behind. More interesting than what Clay does with his knowledge, is how he and Gemma's relationship and her spying for Jax goes as she tries to meet his deal to get back to be with her grandchildren.
Bobby still seems to be the most decent of the group. I will be sticking it out, but again don't really like any of the characters anymore. Thank god for CC, cause Chibs is getting harder to understand, not easier.
Lastly, how funny that they advertise SOA apparel. This is the most gnarly looking group and anyone other than a biker would not want to look like them. If dressed as a SOA and you met a real biker, you would probably be dead.

As a rider and a fan of the show, a few folks have asked if I'd like some SOA apparel .. the answer is not just no, but hell no ..

When Opie was murdered, Bobby was the next logical remnant of humanity ..

Jax and his world have spun out of control .. and he keeps thinking he can fix everything .. my suggestion ..

Kill Clay now .. why try to gather proof .. ??

I thought he had to keep Clay alive in order to keep the deal with the Irish which keeps the deal with the Cartel which keeps the deal with the undercover CIA/Feds/whatever.

This show is spinning out of control all just to find new excuses to keep Clay around.   He should have been killed a long time ago.

All true .. I'm just figuring that hard evidence, if that's what Jax is looking for to use against Clay is not really needed .. what's his name, the weird moustashe guy that shot the girl in the leg admitted in front of several that Clay was the puppetmaster .. in fact, if the club would go to Eli Roosevelt and give him the whole story on Clay, that might do the trick without the club even getting their hands bloody .. of course, at this point, Jax likely wants his own form of justice ..

I'll add on a side note that I think Jimmy Smits is doing a great job as Nero .. he really seems to find his groove in character acting .. thought he was great in "Dexter" as well ..

If you like lots of action and violence, this is a great season again for SOA. If you're wanting something coherent, not so much - starting with Clay and Gemma.

Agree that Smits has nailed his role in this show.

It's going to be interesting to see how Gemma pulls off "her mission" for Jax. The Otto and Tara thing was interesting especially after Tara reliving(?) the experience. Will she be making more trips back to see him? smile.gif Poor Juice. It will be interesting to see him and Jax have a chat.

I see the Juice discussion, and I hope it is only a discussion, blow back to Clay who already knows what Juice did. I think Juice will use the info he has on Clay to stay alive. Just more stuff to pile on to Clay for the inevitable season ending cliffhanger.

I get it with Otto, he's been incarcerated for a long time and that particular perfume reminds him of his lady. Something similar happened in the film Midnight Express. Now the rest, I'm not so sure.......

Well ... why she's willing to oblige. I'm not talking about Otto. I just don't get Tara's interest.

Women are unexplainable sometimes .. Tara may be drawn to Otto because of his sheer vulnerability and hopelessness .. she may see him as a tragic figure and somehow feels she can save him, and finds that arousing .. I felt the scene at the prison infirmary was a little unsettling .. it looked to me like Otto had his nose buried in Tara's .....

I've wondered why some women will marry a convict and not even have any physical contact prior .. this last episode was dark, dark, dark ..

I'm pretty sure it was. I think that's the major reason she jumped back at first. But then she decided to just go with it, as she is willing to do just about anything for the club, except Otto's first request.

The part with her back at home seemed like a bit of a stretch to me though. Although I guess if she was already worked up by Jax before he left, and then she got to thinking about just how much Otto must have loved his woman, and is thinking about if Jax loved her that much too????? I don't know, like I said that part seemed a bit of a stretch to me.

I wanted to mention also that Kurt Sutter is a great actor in his own right on Sons .. the guy just does it all and does it incredibly well .. I'm hoping he expands some on that side story with Tara .. it's an interesting plot side line, especially this season which has been so dark .. the show just continues to amaze, IMO ..

Man, not sure how I've missed this thread but SOA is one of my favorite shows right now - Justified is getting up there too.

When Opie died I was in shock. I haven't had a TV show affect me like that... ever. I've "man cried" at some movies (not afraid to admit that) but that scene left me in just utter shock. After that episode ended I sort of just stared at the TV for a while... just zoned out. It was weird.

Anyway - not going through 33 pages, but the soundtrack is also killer! I downloaded the main track and some others off iTunes. Good stuff.

My comment was in reference to the perfume's affect on Tara - arousing her to the point she had to take matters into her own hand and was in jest.

I never figured out why the SOA didn't fly a diamond ( 1%er patch ). The Mayans have the diamond. Maybe someone was afraid of a viewer dressing up in SOA cut and running into a outlaw biker. If they had a diamond with their SOA fake cuts,it could be a deadly mistake.

Jax… trying to fight turning into Clay.

I’m really hoping they don’t jump the shark with everything that happens to the MC.

The only time I was afraid of the shark being jumped was during the Ireland trip season. What a lot of wasted time that was. I also thought that Clay should have bought it last season for killing Piney, even though it would have been the end of such a great central character. That being said, I think this current season absolutely ROCKS; my wife and I are just in shock over how nuts (in a good way) the shows have been.

great episode last night, thought I was watching Walking Dead with the hospital crucifix scene. Wondering how long Clay has before he meets his fate..? Wild 1 1/2 hour!! eek.gif

Kurt, you devil, stirring the pot like this! Is Gemma really going to help Jax or is she going to go back under Clay's spell and play dumb with Jax even if she finds out something? Is Tara's career over? What a great deception by Otto. How long is Pope going to wait before he goes after Tig? Now Jax is a CIA target to get him out of the picture so that Clay can keep the deal with the Irish going for them and get Jax off of Clay's back. And, again, poor Juice.

I'm trying to think what, if any, "closure" will happen at the end of this season like in the past. I still can't see Clay going away. Same for Pope. 90 minute episode next week, too.

The only thing that really bothers me about this show is the lack of cops. These guys run out into the streets shooting at each other, having car chases, and blowing **** up. Then they hang around for half an hour and discuss the next move and you never once see a cop car.

I know with all of the crazy stuff that happens, that shouldn't be the one thing that really bothers me, but it does.

^^^ But everything else is "normal"? smile.gif
post #987 of 1214
Yep this show is pretty much like any other, you check reality at the door when you watch.

so... who hired the guy to rough up Otto - Clay, Pope, Cartel/CIA?

My guess he's the husband of the nurse Otto murdered ..

That was exactly my first guess. However, after the second meeting when he was in a suit, it really seems like he's out to do more than just beat Otto up. It wouldn't put it past me that Clay hired him.
