Though I enjoy seeing these characters again, because they were unsure of getting a fifth season, they wrapped up the "war between the alternate Earths" which was the underlying story of the first four seasons. The universes are finally separated, Olivia and Peter are finally together and they all lived happily ever after. There's nothing left to say about that so they're taking us someplace else entirely for the 12 episodes they have left.

We saw an ancient Broyles as head of Fringe Division in "Letters of Transit", that out-of-nowhere sneak-peak fourth episode before the end of last season. It's hard to imagine what 25 years will have done to Nina Sharp--Broyles seemed 50-ish (Reddick is 50 this year), but Nina was older (Brown is 66 now).
In that last season episode all of the gang released from amber seemed to be pretty frickin' mad at William Bell, "after what he did to Olivia". I wonder if that will be revealed? I wonder if we'll see a revived Bell (with a stump at the end of one arm), dug out of amber by the Observers?
