This describes what you have to do to watch the day after. Your television provider has to be on their list, which currently seems to include only Cable ONE, Dish and Verizon. Otherwise you have to wait until 8 days after air, by which point the next episode will have usually have been on (not this week, thanks to the NLCS).

I've noticed a couple of cable TV channels which are now requiring you to log into your online TV provider account to watch full episodes. I think that TNT is one of those. Stingy.

As I stated previously, unless you happen to subscribe to one of the providers on their list, you must wait eight days.

please stop saying "go back"....

you're giving me Lost flashbacks

We haven't seen the last of Etta. The Observer escaped the bomb in two seconds, and he probably took Etta with him. Remember that Observers moved September out of the Harvard lab so fast that no one saw them until they watched the tape from a high speed camera. I expect to see Etta in the lab where experiments are being conducted on human subjects, such as the disembodied head of our Lost friend "Desmond."

Thats the only way youll see Etta (on a slab\experiment), remember this is the last season so most likely unless its needed when someone dies, they are dead...Flashbacks sure, but current to the story no....Glad they are willing to go there though, powerful moment for sure, sad that there are only 10 episodes left.....let the next chapter begin smile.gif .....

All this talk of Etta, and everyone forgot to mention Broyles FOR SHAME!!!!!!!!!! wink.gifbiggrin.gif great to see him back in action and playing a resistance operative.....

I'll take that bet. A beer (or milkshake, if that's your preference smile.gif) says Etta returns in some form, and not just in a flashback.

Did you ever consider when the all go back to the present, before any of this happened she will be there?

IF they all go back to the present, I just dont see them going back to the past, this season, unless via flashback......IMO that wouldnt count, Im talking current timeline after her death scene.....

The one thing that popped into my head is that we still ahvent seen Olivia use her powers, I have a feeling she is going to let out some badassary sometime this season....

I still think the ending to this series has to involve the all going back to acient times to build the machine, scatter the parts, and write the books. Otherwise, how did any of this stuff happen?

It could be something like an experiment ala her partner (thus the slab\experiment statement). Clone maybe??? Shapeshifer made to look like her, to use the emotion of love against them????? hmmmmm the possibilites are endless, but Etta as we know her is gone (IMO)....

The machine was built in the future, then brought back in time...Im not sure if theyll bring any of that storyline into it though. They covered the future where the machine was built in the comics, not so sure if theyll retread it on the show.... as the multiverse angle is pretty much done (ended last season with the closing of the portal)..

I'm sorry to hear that they covered such a huge aspect of the story away from the primary story telling medium. I feel cheated.

But was your childhood raped? Because otherwise you're just some kind of poser.

Wow, intense episode, I was very surprised at how lethal the fringe team was (not that I'm complaining, it was quite exciting),
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
and a huge loss for me with the exit of Georgina Haig, a more attractive actress/character than the rather bland Olivia...

I'll take my Etta resurrection concept one step further. Not only will she reappear, she'll be used to hunt the other members of the team. The head Observer realized his mistake in killing her, although it was too late to be there when the others returned to try to save her (for "love," as he finally realizes). He took her with him so he'd be able to use her to find other important members of the resistance. For beings who can apparently keep a disembodied head alive, it should be a piece of cake to bring her back from the dead, especially since it was only a few minutes. The Fringe team itself has "interviewed" the dead on several occasions (even after several hours) - remember John Scott, and more recently the redhead who duped them into thinking she was a victim of the escalator "poisoning."

From a storytelling perspective, I think it makes little sense to kill her off so early in this final season. From a "sci-fi babe" perspective, it makes even less sense. They've teased us with too many close-ups of that incredibly beautiful face to take her away from us now. biggrin.gif

Now, this might just be wishful thinking on my part. I'm not ready to let her go yet. Worst case, though, I'm out a beer. biggrin.gif

If anyone wants to know (the details) about Etta... full of spoilers...

No need for spoilers--if you visit this thread before watching the latest episode then you obviously don't mind reading an open discussion of what happened in it, which would include Etta's death. (Being on the west coast, I don't open this thread between 6 PM on Friday and whenever I finish watching the episode).

I disagree with you about Haig; though she's pretty, I think that Torv's face is lovely and far more interesting. To my mind, there's nothing "special" about Haig's features--I doubt that I'll remember her face after this is over. It's all subjective smile.gif.

It's surprising that they killed her; she was the group's guide through the present situation. I wonder who they'll get to help them now?

Also, what happened to Astrid? She emerges from hiding after the Observers and their lackeys leave the lab, holding the laser, headed back in, and we don't see her again for the rest of the episode. Did they leave her behind to remove the new amber and get things back to where they were?
