I have a 16x15 family room that i need help in painting. My equipment is as follows:
1) Optoma HD70 DLP 720p FP
2) Onkyo 606 receiver
3) Elite screens ez frame 106" cinegrey screen
4) Tosh A3 HD DVD Player
5) AV mfw15 subwoofer
6) Boston center channel
7) PureResonance 3way 8" fronts in-wall and 3 way 8" in-ceiling (4) surrounds and rear surrounds.
8)Monster Power 3600 power center
9 Dish vip 622

I am either going to get a dual hd player or a PS3 and a dual format player. I have attached a few pics of my family room and i thought that I would do the wall the screen is on Cinema Star(black) and the ceiling and side walls Mickeys Shadow (light grey) both by Behr paints. I am unsure what is the best approach and what color should the ceiling be black or grey? Any help would be appreciated and I will try to attach some pics.

As for the hd player, go with a ps3, it's current amount the best for bluray. Keep the A3. As for paint, if you can, screen wall and ceiling should be flat black (speaking from someone with white ceiling, hehe). Side wall, any grey tons would be fine.

black and grey work great for a home theater. Here are some of my setup with wall grey acoustic panels and black bass traps.

Tha looks good man ty for posting those pics. I think those colors are the same ones I saw at Home Depot!!

I am going to go black on the ceiling and screen wall and grey on the sides. What are bass traps?

If it's a mixed-use room, I don't think I'd go with a black ceiling, and probably not even a black screen wall. When the lights are down and assuming your PJ doesn't spill light outside the black border of the screen, you're not going to gain a ton from the front wall being black. (You'll actually gain more from the rear and sides being black, in terms of picture quality.) However, none of that will justify the loss when the lights are up and you want to use the room for something else (hanging out, playing cards, etc).

If it's a dedicated room, then by all means, what's happening when the lights are out are all that matter. But for mixed use, the black just won't feel inviting, IMO.
