I've been on the road since the day after I downloaded it so I haven't spent much time with it...Looked like you have to edit the .ini files to make things correct. (I got the torrent version with everything in there supposedly).

Kase... you are the MAN!...

Went to MTBS, looked around and came across the IZ3D drivers... all I can say s that now I am truelly seeing in 3D, thoose guys at ddd can rot in hell.

Sure buy your glasses from them... but gett he iz3d drivers. Don't have to pay for them either or the 5 bucks a pop the ddd wants. I can't tell you how much this has improved in the past 2 days of me fiddling with it... been a pure god send.. so thanks again =)



yes, edit the .Ini file... there sould be a area with Mouse, trackball, lightgun... change the 0 to a 1 behind it, then save.
Just added 2 topgun light guns to my mame cab to play house of the dead 3, duck hunt... ect ect. had to change the mame config file to see them.

I am glad that IZ3D drivers are working for you. Which games have you tried so far with new drivers? Have you noticed any ghosting with IZ3D drivers?

I got house of the dead 3, Spore, crysis, bioshock, any game that runs in Direct X, or Open GL...

Even got my Electric Sheep running in 3D. Didn't notice any ghosting... people that say that didnt spend any time configuring the 3D depth. you have full control on how it looks.

Only problem is Punkbuster kicking peeps in CoD4... It see's the drivers as a hack.

tho i know I am on the right track.

um where is this .ini file?
the only MAME.ini I have is in Hyperspin's setting folder, and while it does have an entry for Trackball (its a yes/no option?) it doesn't appear to do anything... but I set it to yes anyway... at least it makes me feel better...
did not find anything close in the actual mame folder..

hmm.. light guns... now that sounds cool, maybe I will need to look into that now too... but since I can't find the stupid .ini file, maybe its better not to... yet...

go into your mame folder for your arcade mulator.

Inside that, there should be a mame config file Open that there should be a listing for

ctrlr
mouse 1
joystick 0
lightgun 1 <------------------------
multikeyboard 0
multimouse 0
steadykey 0
offscreen_reload 0
joystick_map auto
joystick_deadzone 0.3
joystick_saturation 0.85


yours would be a 0 change it to a 1

As far as configuring things withen Hyperspin, check out www.hyperspin-fe.com ask in the help section, everyone there is ALOT more knowledable then me... hehe

Doh!, the reason I could not find MAME.ini is because it doesn't exist... at least not until you create it by running mame with the -createconfig switch...

its amazing what you can find out by reading the instructions

I have MAME setup on a modded xbox but that setup is def better, especially the front end. A friend of mine makes cabinets which I always wanted but don't really have room for in my house. The OP def has a great setup, best I have seen!

Hi i really want to get a MAME cab for my boyfriend's 21st in january he loves his games an stuff an i know how much he wants one an it'd b perfect. heres the thing wen it comes to building one i think if i could get all the bits in flat pack form with all the wires and monitor and controls it'd be great cos he cud jus put it2gether himself, but at the same time getting it already made would be great too even though im pretty sure he'd enjoy messing around and fixing it up himself!! heres my problem though i want to get this on a budget because as much as i love him im a student!!!!
iv read online that you can get old arcade machines from arcades and that for nothing but i really dont know were2start could some one please help me out and email me with some good advice on sligo_pinkie@yahoo.ie
i check it daily so itd be best to email me!!! thnks guys (n girls!!!)

That sir is the most fantastic thing I have seen recently. I wish I knew someone that had something along those lines so I could check it out, I dont think I would use it at my house but, it is really cool. By the way does that thing have cable?

Another question: How do you get the games in higher res?
