Settings on the LG BH200?

I just purchased it and was wondering what the settings be on the BH200? I have a 1080p TV and it will be hooked up via HDMI through a Yamaha RX-V683. I have already done the firmware updates and am just wondering what the best settings would be (PCM settings etc.).

Thanks in advance.

Anyone?

I'd like to know also! I'd really like to know what the video settings are set at on the bh200. Is it better to use Qdeo or customize the settings with the user setting?

Thanks!

From what I've read, most people like to use User mode with all the settings left to default.

Personally, I like to turn the Qdeo on for regular dvd's though.

What about PCM?

If you have a AVR that can decode the new HD audio codecs, then bitstream it over from the BH200, else leave it as Multichannel PCM.

Does your AVR decode Dolby TrueHD?
If not you shouldn't worry about it.
Otherwise, turn on Primary PassThru on the BH200. Pg 21 manual FYI.

Umm how on Earth customizing the settings would turn "off" the Qdeo scaler yet your DVD would still end up in 1080p when leaving the unit?
Sorry but you guys makes no sense IMO...

No, we're not turning off the scaler. We're turning off the default settings of the scaler which are in essence "torch mode". By default, it's too bright and too blue. Trust me, I watched a few adult Blu-Rays before I changed it. Veins looked disturbing--like a vampire movie or something.

I won't be shaking your hand!
Where do you reside? South or north Austin?

You're welcome to. I take at least one (usually 2-3 in the summer) shower everyday. I'm in Northwest Austin--the non-Travis County part.

I'm hoping for an early cold front! I think it will be awhile though. I'm in the Circle C area.

Take care.

OK (too much info! ;-) )!
Which settings?
And is your display professionally calibrated?
Thanks.
