Too Human Trilogy

Ok I finally finished Too Human... Correction lets say I beat the story line part of the game, but am still playing this game going back for more loot! Anyways this is suppose to be a 3 game series and I am hoping that Part 2 is coming out and I mean by Christamas! I doubt that, but it would be nice to have it soon. With the media attention this game has gotten (not all good) you would have thought that there would be info for the second one. Does anyone know of a possible release date? I cringe when I think this, but does anyone else think we may not get the full trilogy on the 360, but will possibly get the final version on the next Xbox? I hope not it would be nice to have all the games on one system.

So what would you like to see for the second game? The gameplay felt natural to me and I am not sure if they would need to change that. I think the graphics could be updated somewhat, but not totally redone. I would also hope they can add more people for parties (4 player offline), but I thought the amount of enemies on the screen in th single player mode was dead on. I have yet played on Multiplayer so am not how different that is. One of these days I will get to it.

Good question, but hard to say. I think the original plans was for a trilogy, but if the game sells poorly overall, they might justscrap the last 2 games. Look at a game like Heavenly sword, ended up selling over 1 million copies, and then the plans for the sequal was scrapped.

It depends on how much faith MS has in SK to produce a game that will be 'better'. I doubt that they throw as much money at them this time around. I personnally like the game, and would love to see part 2/3.

Too Human went gold a long time ago, so I think there will definitely be a sequel. If they make some changes to the complaints, it could be a block buster series. If the second one fails to deliver then it will die off. But I would count on a part 2, at least.

The story with Heavenly Sword though ended pretty good. I could possibly see a sequel with Heavenly sword at the same time I am just fine if that is it with that game. With Too Human knowing that there is suppose to be more is going to kill me if we do not get to see the whole thing. Hopefully the contract was for 3 games and SK can do all 3 games even if sales are not what they are suppose to be. Any numbers on how well this game sold?

If we can trust this source, here are some numbers: http://www.vgchartz.com/games/game.php?id=22053. I think that the game might hit 500K total, but that really is going to be a stretch seeing how the numbers dropped in the second week. Seeing the massive lineup this fall, and with the release of Sacred 2 (on the same day a Gow2 none the less, but by the way, will likely do everything we want in a RPG, 4 player coop, PvP, etc, some peole even called the 1st Sacred a 'diablo 3' http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/mpd/permalink/m1TR090AMCNBG4) I am having some doubts on the success of this game. Heck, even Haze sold 500K.

The game does offer DLC which is good. Lets say they can not make another full game, but they could possibly give us new levels to play, or break the next games up into Episodes and releases them over time. I am willing to bet we get at least one more game from the series. If not I think SK should go back and make a new version of Eternal Darkness. Damn that game was fun.

We don't know official sales numbers, but I highly doubt they will be great. I don't even think the game cracked the Xbox Live Top 10 that Major Nelson puts out the week after it came out. Plus every indication is the game's sales dropped like a rock which indicates bad word of mouth. Expect it to be $39.99 soon.

As for a sequel... yea, this isn't Mass Effect. I'd wait for an official announcement before I get my hopes up.

I will probably get it when it gets to $40.
I thought SK were making the "sequels" at the same time they made this game. If thats true then the only question is will they get any money to polish it and fix the issues that exist with the game or will you get 3 "meh" type games....and would that be worth the publishers efforts?

I bought the game at full price and I've played through the campaign twice already; it has its issues but if you invest some time in learning to play the game properly it's a lot of fun. Still, all the negative reviews have probably hurt sales significantly.

If MS/SK scrap plans for a sequel, I at least hope that they'll release 1 or 2 additional chapters via XBL and wrap up the story that way. It might actually be a more cost effective and timelier way to go in the long run.

I have 40 hrs on my Defender, 28hrs on my B-Engineer, 11 hours on my Champion and about an hour on the Berserker and Commando.

Its safe to say I really enjoyed the game. And after all that play I did expect sales to be kinda low, but not as low as in that chart. There are just enough unpolished aspects to make the game feel unfinished.

I remember posting here than Silicon Knights and Factor 5 would underwhelm PS3 and 360 fans when they jumped ship from Nintendo. Both had an "easy" time as Nintendo developers where all you had to do was release something remotely playable and exclusive and the fans would go nuts for your game.

I am positive we will see a second game though. The engine is done, the PR of a "Trilogy" is out there and sales will be high enough to keep the series going at least anothewr game if for no other reason than to see if they can bring peopel in to see the "fixed" Too Human.

What i would really like ot see NOW is a 4 player patch. I think that would bring a lot more people in. I know some spots would be cramped, but you can tell when playing with two that there really needs to be 3-4 players to really have the game be all it could be.

Well, If it follows the same development path, don't expect it anytime before 2018- and NOT on a MS system! (I believe too human originated back in SK's Nintendo days... yes SK was with Nintendo... and yes so was Rare... MS sure knows how to pick them, don't they?)

Anyways, the good news is that If it DOES jump companies (you know they won't be headed back to Nintendo) the Sony boys may actually have a GAME to look forward to playing on that 10 year system of theirs!

Too Human actually started on PlayStation.

It actually didn't take them that long to develop it. The game started in 2005 with Microsoft using the Too Human story. But development on the new game was 2005. In 2007 they got screwed over by Epic since Epic focused on other big name companies with higher profile games. So being able to develop a new game, and an all new engine in 3 years is pretty good.

I'm still waiting to see where that lawsuit is going to go. Looking at Bioshock and seeing those graphics makes me wonder if SK did get jilted. Not that the graphics were bad for Too Human, but they could have been better. At least they didn't have the texture pop in problem that most Unreal engine games do.

I have to get this and get going. I have read and have been told how fun it is...

I hate when they plan for something to be a trilogy and it just doesnt live up to expectations so they can the rest. Too Human might go the way of Advent Rising. I'm still disappointed that didnt play out.
