You main firmware 0.01 must have been set up even before the "great bang...*"
Does it carry a production date... may be 100 BC

I do get request received if I am at correct speed. I'm wondering if it has to do with the 0.01 version I'm seeing?

Actually .01 seconds after the big bang!

Ok, so now that I have had a good laugh, here is what I am having issues with:

1. HDMI video is WAY out of sync with audio. Probably because of the latest DSP update is installed and the Main firmware DSP is not.

Audyssey is now saving after DSP update, but I am getting .8-1.2 ft for my fronts and center and for the surround 1.2 ft (varies each time). My room isnt huge, but definately not that small! Could be because of main firmware? I did go over the Audyssey FAQ, but nothing seems to work. It could also be that I am using Infinity Betas up front and the woofers are stacked four high on each side along with the crossover, but the mid high panels are fed from the crossover as well. My surrounds are Infinity QLS's which have a single 12" woofer. hmmmm...

Thanks again!

Oh yes,

the video lags the audio so lip sync function is useless!

Anyone have a video delay line! LOL!!

Does your display have HDMI 1.3 spezified interfaces ?
If so, then this spec should automatically enable correct audio sync between AVR (repeater) and display. I don't have this issue with my brand new Sony LCD...

Audyssey doesn't seem to like stacked speakers or multiple subs in parallel judging by the comments in the Audyssey thread.

I would consider a service point firmware update to get those odd firmware versions corrected. I am not sure even, if the main 0.01 is an official version and would contact Integra about this...

Unfortunately, my pj is not 1.3, however I didnt have the sync issue before updating the DSP's. I traded one problem (Audyssey not completing a save) for sync issues!

I saw the threads about the sub issues as well...

My next step is to contact service center. Luckily there is one in St. Louis.

Thanks!
But you did unplug you unit after the update, didn't you ?
This will reinit the CPU.
May be a "Init" should be followed by this, but the DSP update seems to do this on its own already...

gurkey,
i've tried to download the 886 files from the rapidshare links you provided, but they all give me an error (session failed, etc). Is there a way you can send me an alternate link so I can post it on the 886 thread?

thanks in advance

I would contact the service center. When I bought my DHC-9.9 from an authorized dealer, I asked about service support and he indicated that Integra units are exchange replacement for the first six months. I asked if that is the dealers policy and he indicated it is Integra's policy.
It turns out I did have a failure with a Gamma issue and indeed I had a replacment unit within two days from the west coast distribution center to my dealer to me. I was impressed , considering all the complaints with Onkyo.

Lol!! Yes! I have unplugged the unit numerous times since the DSP update to do the Main firmware update that hasn't worked.

Actually it's an Onkyo... I posted here because I noticed more activity than the 886 thread.

If you obtain the fixture (the Serial Level converter for updating the Loader) that talks directly to the CPU, pehaps that might work. Gurkey would be the one to know the answer, as I have not followed that thread.

That is an idea...

Gurkey, is it possible to do on an 886? Can I build or is it something that I need to order parts for?

Thanks all!

No download helpers are allowed, just a plain and simple single connection and everything just works out fine...

The less processing in the supply chain, the less problems.

Thanks, John, for your response. I now have a better understanding of the video settings in my system.

Don't really know.
Hundreds of people have downloaded from this location already...
I tested it myself and it works just fine.

Any firewall settings interfering...

perhaps rapidshare has my IP blocked for some reason, etc.

if anyone can upload the 886 to another uploader temporarily, I would appreciate it...both DSP and Main FW
post #1432 of 3106
I don't think "rapidshare" is blocking but rather "something" else is, if any.
For "free" users there is a waiting "penalty" for each download.
1st time (per day) around 60 seconds, afterwards about 15 minutes per download.
...and the downloads are "speed" limited.

What browser do you use.
Some script blocking addons might hamper a download also.

Are you trying this from work? Usually all connections are masked with the same IP address. If you work at a large company chances are that this is blocked again by someone else in your company before you have the chance to start the download...

Shervin,

I already sent you the firmware - I thought you got it? Is it just the DSP you need? If so, I can send that to you as well.

How do you check what version dhc 9.9 is running?

I cut this part from the firmware update area

Check Your existing Main firmware version:
=> Turn on Your unit, push & hold "Display", press "Standby", release buttons
=> To see additional firmware infos (DSPs etc) press the (+) button besides "Tone" repeatedly ( don't wait to long)

Please list what is included in updating from 1.01 to 1.04? and 1.05?
You should be able to do Audyssey Calibration out of the box...and the unit should have come with a mic.
To do Audyssey Pro Calibartion......you will need firmware 1.05 and a pro installer to do this.

Hope this helps

1.04 Ray, 1.05 was pulled by Gurkey because of reported issues with HDMI switching. I re-flashed back to 1.04 and ran PRO with no problems. As a side note I ran PRO with 1.05 and flashed back to 1.04 and all the setting incl PRO remained

I know this is the DHC thread but there is really no where else to go. I have a DTR-9.9 and I'm not sure if my problem is due to the 1.04 or the DSP update because I did them pretty much back to back. Before I did the updates I could scroll through the sources on Zone2 until I reached the one that I wanted. Now when I try to do that it toggles back to the main display each time. It takes a good minute to scroll through all the sources due to the wait time of each toggle. Any ideas on how to fix this? I have done a hard reset.

BTW, I performed the Audyssey Pro calibration today and it was a very nice improvement!
