Harman Kardon AVR355 / Philips HD Natural Motion

Hi there guys.

This is my first post so i will try to do everything right


My problem is :

If i connect my PS3(BLuray) with HDMI to my HK-AVR355, and output from him to my Philips 42PFL7603 LCD TV, HD Natural motion does not work. It only works if i connect my source ( Ps3 or Tvix 4100 ) directly with an HDMI cable, and that is not good enaugh.

I need this to work somehow because in order to have DTS-HD sound or PCM uncompressed u need to use the HDMI cable for that. Optical or Coaxial cables do not support this awesome sound :S

I could live with that fact that when i use my TVIX 4100 i only get DTS sound from HD movies since i dont want to have too large Bluray´s on my MMedia box. But on the other hand... i HAVE to get the bluray to work woth both superb sound and Hd natural motion.


Does anyone here have any clue how i can get both things to work at the same time ? ( HD natural motion and HDMI sound ) ?

Ok, this is getting somewhere.

When i changed my HDMI cables from low budget " Aurora " to Monster this changed. Now i can change the output source from my AVR355 to 1080p/24 so the AMP is forcing ( or not ) the signal to be only 24fps.

Then my Philips 42PFL7603 can add these extra frames ( HD NATURAL MOTION )

So this is currently working perfectly , all connected through my AMP, both DTS-HD and 120Hz from Philips.

But i still have the problem with the TVIX 4100.

He always ( when connected through AVR355 ) just comes out ad 1080p/50 so my TV cant add the extra frames cos it thinks it doesnt have to .


How can i FORCE my Tvix 4100 to output 1080p/24, or FORCE my AVR355 to output 1080p/24 ??
