Thoughts on Monster SL-100 SW

Thread Starter
I was at Circuit City yesterday and noticed a fairly large-looking subwoofer in their clearance area. It didn't have a price on it, so I noted the model # and went home to research.

Well, after much fruitless searching, I can't find ANY reviews on it, and barely any information on it at all away from the specs.

Just a few questions that hopefully someone can answer...

Is Monster a reputable brand for home theater equipment? I've never heard of anything but cables and power/surge devices with the Monster name...

And, would this be a nice upgrade from my current HT sub, the one that comes with the Polk RM6880 5.1 set? I have a room about 20x25 in size (about 10 feet high) and I watch about 90% movies with it, the rest being a game or two (usually Guitar Hero/Rock Band). I have an Onkyo 606 powering the set.

If the price is right (hopefully ~$200) and it's a worthwhile upgrade, then I would consider getting it, otherwise, I'll hold off.

Considering it's not all that big, or powerful, or that Monster Cable doesn't even CLAIM it has extension below 35 Hz, or that Monster is known for making overpriced products of mediocre build quality, I'd say that thing isn't worth your time.
