Key fell off of Harmony 880 - what to do?

I have an out of warranty Harmony 880 remote. The 'menu' button has come loose and fallen off. I have the button and it is in one piece.

How are these held on for me to fix it? A bit of glue? Something else that glue won't fix?

I don't want to just glue it if that won't fix the problem - it's a permanent non-fix in that case.

Any help?

Why not call Harmony? I've found them to be pretty helpful, even with out of warranty stuff.

I have called them and logged the problem.

But at the same time, if it's an easy fix; someone here has probably done it. I really don't need them to send me a new unit for one key if it is reattachable (was that a word before now?).

Is it less than two years out of warranty? If you paid with a credit card you may be covered. I just replaced an external hard drive and got a laptop fixed that was purchased with two different Visa cards.

If it was like the hard drive, once authorized you just buy a replacement, mail the defective unit back to them, and fax the receipt.

Well, I got an email from Logitech; it seems they didn't care about the loose key. They cared that the battery didn't seem to want to charge.

They are disabling the current remote from their system and sending a new unit out.

No charge.

Since they can lock out a remote from their system, they don't even want the old remote back.
