ATI Radeon Clone but in different resolution?

I am setting up a media center for my buddy and have a question.

He has a 1920X1080 plasma but the HTPC case TFT only 800X600. How can I do clone mode but different resolution in ATI CCC?

Clone is Clone there can be no different resolution you will have to use extended desktop.

This is only for ATI CCC, right? What about nvidia? Can they do clone but different resolution? Any other program out there has the work around?

It the operating system itself that requires a clone to be a true clone it is not different by brand of graphics card.
Why do you not want to use extended desktop?
