Should inspire me to try to take some updated pics of mine.
I can only imagine how truly impactful your theater is, The pics and video are amazing enough but pics never really show them off like an in person showing.
Pretty darn cool having the real deal in your home ain't it?
We are almost at three years with ours and every showing still seems like the best thing ever.
Thanks for the great compliments dude, it really makes me feel better knowing others appreciate the way the theater turned out. It really feels great to have your own theater in your house, a theater that feels and sounds better IMHO than sharing a large auditorium with 300 other people. My wife and I have gone 3 times to the theater since the theater has been complete, we've been getting a lot of free movie ticket vouchers with new bluray movies we purchase and to be honest we have been feelign very underwhelmed with the real movie theater experience like AMC or UnitedArtist Theaters....no bass shakers, seats don't recline, long concession lines, $10 tickets and $6 popcorn. It feels so much better to just watch the movie at my own theater. The only thing missing at this point would be the L-shaped bar which will also contain concession candy, hot dogs, and refrigerated beverages, but I will get to working on that later this year.
I did host a game/movie night with some buddies and coworkers of mine the weekend before last and it was very successful. We saw "My Bloody Valentine 3D" with the crappy paper anaglyph 3D glasses but it was still a lot of fun. I do have to say the bass shakers were a big hit that night.
I am down to participate in a weekend long Colorado parade of home theaters, and it sounds like JohnnDenver is too, we just gotta find about 4 or 5 more. And we can each demo a different movie, sounds like fun!
