My wife spotted this item on Walmart's website today, and needless to say we ordered our own sign. It's only $34 plus tax, and shipping is free if you do "Site-to-Store" option where they ship it to your nearest Wal-Mart store.

There is a 10-character limitation. Also comes with marquee lights, so this is a really good deal if you ask me and a 20" x 10" customized home theater marquee sign.

EDIT: Confirmed by AVS member - The "lights" are NOT functional, but I ordered it anyways.

Where does it say the lights are functional?

I just got a $20 gift card when I tried to order something they had mispriced. I think I'm going to do this either way.

Now thats custom!

that is pretty nice!

It says 'Lights' in quotes, in their description. So, I would say it is safe to assume they do not work!
The word 'lights' is in quotes, making me suspect they are not actual lights.

Thanks for posting. Here is a different option in about the same price range. http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-Home-Thea...6.c0.m14.l1318

No lights? No place to list what is playing?
Decently cool though.

The first to get theirs post up more info please.

The "lights" look just like plastic half-round jewelry glued around the frame but pretty cool nonetheless. I suppose though you could pop out the jewelry and drill a hole and insert from the back xmas tree lighting (probable no more than 3ft so you'll have to trim down the light itself)

just ordered one, not bad for the price.

Will add it to my pics when I get it.

yeah I am not sure at this point, I ordered it anyways, still a heck of a deal for $35.

It doesn't look like these lights are real. You'd think if there was a battery compartment in the back, it would sit out a little farther from the wall. (Under the 'personalize it' tag.)

looks cool for the price. kinda looks like the lights are "bejeweled" on!

That sucks! I just ordered that same sign with my name on it from another site and paid almost $50 bucks! LOL! Oh well...

Naa those are fake light bulbs on that sign. I actually preferred it since I would have to get the electrician back out to put in another outlet for a lit sign.

I am getting me one and the popcorn bowls

I agree about the lighting, it would have been nice to have a light, but unless its one of those photo-sensoring lights, I would hate to have to run a long cable and conceal it, or have my electrician come out again and charge anywhere from $20 to $40 to run a new outlet, not to mention the drywall damage/repair involved.

The popcorn bowls are a link towards the bottom in the window of the sign description.

oh yeah, I saw those personalized popcorn bowls, I think I like the disposable popcorn paper bags a lot more, which you can buy by the 100's, they make me feel more like I am at the movie theater.

It reads
a border of 3- dimensional "lights".
not real

I've had this sign over my HT entrance since last Xmas, gift from the wife. The "lights" are some sort of glass jewels or similar, definitely not real lights.

I really like this sign, it looks very nice hanging over the entrance.

Here are a couple of photos of mine:

Wow, nice find...I had to order one!...

I got it here.

(I just have a real problem buying things from Walmart). Plus if you Google the same website long with the word coupon or promotion, you can find discount codes to use at checkout (mine was 20% off any item!)
You can kinda tell it's not super quality, but should look great on my theater room door, nonetheless!

I just received mine. It's not bad quality but not great either. Obviously hand made, the lettering wasn't lined up. And like Mike's up there, my name was wayyy up against the top edge, and it looked silly as a result.

I guess it looks ok for something to hang in my theater, but I think I'll be going back to my own custom sign for the front door of my theater. It's not 3D, but at least the letters line up.

Just in case some have not seen what others have done with this sign....
