Was that the one with Melissa George?

No. I didn't like it either.

Anyone see Paranorman? Was pretty creepy for a kids movie and a little different. My kids enjoyed it, and were challenged a bit by the creepiness.

I'd be really tempted to serve spaghetti to company in that.

Watched Storage 24 tonite on the HDNet broadcast.

It's the kind of movie for people who don't like interesting plots or characters, but do like to see stupid and annoying people become a weird critter's prey.

Sounds like most of the low budget horror, although I do rather enjoy watching hippies get chainsawed by rednecks rolleyes.gif That said if you can find a way to watch Inbred without going region free and importing I highly recommend!

It will probably be like The Loved Ones and get a late US release and poor marketing when in fact it is probably one of the most refreshing horror films I've seen. If you ever go region free PM me and you can borrow my copy.

I did Chernobyl Diaries last night. Pretty good setup and REALLY good outside location and scenery. Then all creativity went down the tank...this was so ripe for some really juicy back story and our heroes could truly learn of the tragedy that happened and almost feel for their attackers. Nope, same ol, same ol...

I don't see any movie with a similar title with Melissa George so you must be thinking of something else.

Still gotta see Chernobyl and that Horrible Melissa George movie. I thought VHS was wack as hell. It was sooooo hard to finish but I forced myself through it. Just don't get the hype. confused.gif

Ordering this next week. I didn't realize it at first but that's one of the sisters from Ginger Snaps. She growns up! Looks good.

Yeah, you're not the only one who feels that way here.wink.gif

Took a look at my new Killer Klowns from Outer Space BD tonite.
Although it's not AV candy, I don't have any complaints.
Decent sound, decent detail, and excellent colors.
AQ is acceptable IMO.

Recommended to fans of the movie.

My daughter was disappointed because she was "certain" Santa was going to bring it as a present. wink.gif

She's the best! I can't tell you how many times I mixed up her movie with A Horrible Way to Die, this is why I still haven't seen it. Total accident!

Found a copy of "A Serbian Film" in the used bin today for $9, made a blind buy. I know this film is notorious for several reasons but I've watched plenty of shocking stuff before so I'm not worried about my ability to handle that, but I want to know: is the movie itself any good?

I think it's a generational thing. I listened to the commentary as it was a millennial filmmakers party.

Any chance it's uncut? Very nice production and I think the acting was decent. The story was original but anything resembling a movie is overshadowed by the despicable and disgusting scenes that movie is known for. The third act is WILD. I couldn't see you watching it again. Let us know what you think.

Ah yes it's all the new up and comers. I'm a Ti West fan and wasn't overly impressed with his piece either. Maybe I'm just too old and jaded.

Looks like it's the version released to video in 2010. I believe the uncut version wasn't available until just last year.
After I watch it, I very well may end up never watching it again, but that doesn't stop me from buying a lot of disturbing movies. With this not being on Netflix, this is really the only way I'll ever get to see it, unless I knew someone who owned a copy.

I just watched 30 Days of Night - Dark Days. First time i have seen the sequel to 30 Days of Night, which is one of my alltime favorite vampire movies.

As a sequel to that it really didnt cut it, however, as a stand-alone movie, this had a ton of blood and gore, which as you guys know i love.

The first half i kept comparing it to the first film and it was falling short, the second half i let the first film go and just enjoyed this movie on its own.

I have a question - i DVR'ed it off the SyFy channel, and it had a disclaimer that it was edited for content. I could see where they edited out the four letter word that begins with "F", but i wonder if they edited out anything that they thought was too gorey or sexy for tv? Is SyFy known for doing that or not? Obviously they had to make it fit in their timeframe, i just wonder if i missed anything good.
