I've seen great films on streaming that I would have never seen elsewhere even with the quality.
I agree. I don't understand when people bash the Netflix HD streaming quality. Either they have a setting wrong, or they are not using a 1080p capable streaming device. Since I went to my Panasonic 220 Blu-ray player the quality on "most" HD Netflix streamed movies is excellent. And that's with my 106" diagonal screen. And I'm a fussy mo fo !!
Not all streaming is bad, and not all Blu-rays are good. I've seen Blu-rays that look no better than DVD, and I've seen HD streaming that looks better than some Blu-rays.

I'll give ya that but I'm also convinced NF applies DNR to ALL streaming titles. Of course I have no evidence to support my conspiracy theory but there you have it
Has anyone seen "Megan Is Missing"? This is another "found footage" film but brought to the digital age, with webcam feeds and other audiovisuals compiled together as a sort of after-the-crime-has-already-happened documentary. We are told that two girls disappeared and this shows the available footage leading up to (and during) their disappearances. It starts out pretty weak (I almost gave up on it due to a combination of bad acting and shakeycam) but the final third almost made up for it--it really ended on a disturbing note. Overall I'd probably rate it between 2.5--3.0 out of 5 stars. Just curious what others thought.
"This POV idea continues in Hale and Sanchez's piece that has one of the simplest and most innovative concepts. A guy straps a GoPro to his helmet and takes his mountain bike into the woods. Along the way he is attacked by and turned into a zombie. Now we have a zombie with a GoPro on his head. If you think that sounds awesome, it is. Some really impressive stunts and effects make this short a total blast.

Watched Perfect Sense last night... what a depressing ass movie! If it weren't for the great Mr. McGregor and very lovely Eva Green I'm nos sure if I could have made it through
I thought this thread could be the right place for this... Whether you're a Metallica fan or not doesn't matter, Kirk Hammett is a true horror fan, who has quite an impressive collection!! Halloween must be a real treat over at the Hammetts

Very cool!
Metallica has a bit of a macabre tone in their lyrics and wonder how much of that is Kirk?
Granted, a fair amount of metal bands embrace the horror theme like Iron Maiden etc. But how much is marketing and how much just a pure interest like his?
