Nothing on youtube yet but yahoo has the VHS 2 red band trailer here: http://movies.yahoo.com/video/vhs-2-redband-trailer-223027452.html

Actually looks better than the first but I really hope they take this opportunity to tie some form of story with what so far has been unconnected bloody dots.

Saw a tweet about ABC's of Death 2 also. I'm still real curious about part one.

I didn't see if anyone put up the new Red Band VHS2 trailer, sorry if repost.

Hey thanks! I tried to embed using the old style but it doesn't work like that on AVS. Do you just use the video icon in the reply thread? Sorry for the noob question.

Dug out Dog Soldiers and fired that up. Pretty damn good.

Weird coincidence, darthsg, I just re-watched Dog Soldiers today! Might be time to upgrade that title to BD if it's available.

No coincidence. Great minds and all. I was feeling the werewolf itch after Hemlock Grove.

If you haven't seen it yet you should really watch Attack of the Werewolves.

Loved it last year in October.

There is a BD available, but it isn't reference.
The movie was shot on 16mm.

The ABC's of Death. More like The ABC's of Dafuq.

I was excited by the idea but letdown by the execution. It was two hours of ideas and barely a handful stuck. I'd really be reaching to make a list with just five segments. If I was all about toilet horror this would be Ben-Hur.

American Mary is not only a great horror thriller but a great movie overall. I watched it last night on VUDU where the pre-theatrical release price is the same as a regular rental there. Katherine Isabelle knocked one out of the ballpark. It was also shown with Dolby 5.1 instead of Dolby HD which my AV receiver decodes as stereo. Thanks for the heads up.

I enjoyed Crowsnest because I like movies of these genre even though I didn't think much of "Blair Witch' when it came out. Things have way improved since then. But again this is the typical conceit of "a bunch of friends get into trouble on their way to a vacation spot" and of course recovered footage that was shot by a kid who wants to document the whole thing with his new video camera. But the film was able to keep the tension and suspense up. Reviews on NF say they couldn't stand the characters but I see them as pretty typical of what would happen with a bunch of mindless types going off on a trip like this.

That is rad!

Come to think about it, I still have Boo Berry cereal not opened yet.

Last night's flick.......Texas Chainsaw.

The short version: Pretty laughable. Had potential in the beginning but it quickly falls flat with only some eye candy shots and a couple scares that were worth watching.

I saw Dead End for the first time last night and loved it. It came out in 2003 (maybe most have already seen it), but it's on Netflix if you want to check it out. I highly recommend it.

I don't remember seeing Dead End but will check it out, thanks!

I tried to start Hemlock Grove but am not sure it's for me. I watched the first episode and about half the second and fell asleep. Comes off very much like some teen angst emo melodrama soap opera so far. The Mrs. liked it... not sure if that should count as a second strike or not eek.gifwink.gif

It takes at least 4 to get up and moving. Once it drops that CW emo slant it gets good.

Ok, I'll muscle through it then and see how it goes.

I can see how it isn't for everybody though. I dislike Game of Thrones, Arrested Development, and Community.

The only shows I watch (in order of fav) is Dexter, Walking Dead, Hell on Wheels, True Blood, and Bates Motel. Even True Blood and Bates Motel have become a bit too soap operaish for me but they each have enough stuff I like to keep me from bailing on them. That said with this being the last season of Dexter I was damn near depressed until I head Mr Bauer was coming back for 24, can't wait for that!

24 was my favorite show and I am pretty happy it is coming back!

A lot of people watched "24" to see who ridiculous it could get. I rented "Dead End" on DVD probably from HV when it came out. I vaguely remember it. Some of the z-movies I watch on NF are probably too raw for folks here but I get a kick out of them as long as they have a decent arc and non wooden actors. "Demon Kiss" was one of these though might be a hit with some here for othe reasons. wink.gif

I've been watching it. I'm on Ep 6 or so. It seems that each time it gets to the point that it's dragging, something interesting happens to keep me watching. It's not bad, but I don't see any rewatch value.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
The transformation to the werewolf was very well done. I was impressed. And he had the decency to eat the stuff he shed. smile.gif
