Don't listen to Escape Velocity's advice unless you enjoy (a) long crowds, (b) empty shelves, and/or (c) price-gouging retailers selling $60 DTV boxes for $90. (cough) (solidsignal.com)(ahem)

The Intelli-who? (shrug). Clearly inferior to the Atari's 1000-game collection. ;-)
My Commodore 64 uses either Composite or S-video, which requires an NTSC-compliant luma/chroma decoder. Same goes for Super VHS, standard VHS, or DVD players (older models). If TV manufacturers removed the NTSC chips, these units would stop working.
