How to buid a bubbler jukebox cabinet?

Hi

I am still currently researching on how to build my own touchscreen jukebox. What i would like to build is a touchscreen jukebox within a 1950's bubbler style cabinet. Does anyone know where these cabinets can be purchased or even better how to start and build a cabinet like this? Any help would be appreciated. I would like my end project to look something like the Wurlitzer Digital Princess. I know it will be a difficult project but does anyone think it is possible to do?

Thanks

Well, that would be a challenging DIY project.

You might be able to use an aquarium air pump to get the bubble effect. Draw air from the top of the chamber and pump it into the liquid at the bottom of the chamber.

I don't know what you'd make the water chambers out of, though. Seems like you'd want clear plastic tubes in a fairly large diameter. Off the top of my head, these 2.5" diamater pipes are the biggest I've seen: http://www.woodcraft.com/family.aspx?FamilyID=3945. That would only give you a 1.25" radius, though -- probably not big enough for the look you're going for.

If you could make the bottom of the water chamber transparent, maybe you could light it from underneath with a color-changing LED bulb.

Just some random thoughts. If you tackle this, please start a thread so we can see your progress. Good luck!

But put the thread in the appropriate forum. Theater room items and Acces seems appropriate.
