lg bh200 dts-ma trueHD problem

When I bitstream trueHD or master audio from my bh200 to my onkyo tx-sr805 i get a persistent buzz/motor sound with popping, etc. I know there is a problem with bitstreaming dd+, but I haven't heard one involving ma or truehd. I have no problems with all other formats. To narrow it down to either the bh200 or the 805, I'm going to go to best buy and hook the bh200 up to another receiver, see if the problem is reproduced. The bh200 was purchased less than 30 days ago from BB, so I can still return it. Any thoughts on how to solve this problem?

I had similar issues with dts-ma on my Onkyo 705. Updating the DSP firmware corrected my issues.

I have a BH200 with Onkyo TX-SR805 - no funny noises. I use the updated DSP firmware. Sounds great!

There are no audio problems with the LG BH200 and the Onkyo 606.

I suspect you need DSP update, and perhaps a firmware update. Check the ongoing SR805 owner's thread and/or the Onkyo Firmware update threads.

Make sure you carefully read through the directions that come with these updates. The DSP update is pretty failsafe, but the firmware update can result in a dead unit if not done properly. There are many older SR805 units that cannot be updated without a special 'jig'.

My irony is that i've had the problem with my 705 and DD+, dts and dts-hr, however i've never had a problem with Truehd and dts-ma.
