I'm going to make the "assumption" that the wires for the speakers are already run in wall? If so, you could buy some speaker mounts thaw allow you to swivel the speakers down a bit toward the seating position. It would mean moving the one over the door just a bit or having some exposed wire, but I think it would help your over-all sound experience.
The best thing IMHO would be to stand mount the surrounds on each side of the couch firing right at the seating position. That's what Dolby recommends as one of their scenarios for correct 5.1 placement. But, I'm not certain you have the room next to the sofa by the door. If OTOH, you DO have more room than what you've shown, that would be my recommendation.
