Projector going to fit my needs?

Alright guys i have been reading this forum for a long time and and posting now that i am finally ready to turn my basement LR into a movie room!
Here is my situation, i have a rectangular room in my basement that i am going to turn into a movie room.
The way the room is finished does not allow me to use the "long" part of the rectangle, there are doors and hallways that will only allow me to have a 60 inch screen if i went in that direction.
My plan was to hang the projector off a low profile mount on the covering for the beam that runs down the middle of my house. There is a lot of air gap inside which will allow me to run wires and such inside the beam and make it nice and neat.
Taking some measurements i will have an eleven foot throw distance from the beam to the screen. My couches will be just about under the projector, maybe a bit closer (i have some posts to contend with).
What i would like is to have an 100 inch screen, and a nice 1080p projector. I would like to keep the PJ around 2,000 or so knowing i am going to have to buy myself spekers, AV rec, screen and another PS3.
Light is of no concern, there are zero windows in this part of the basement.
What PJ/screen combos are going to be right for me?

2000 is a loose number, i am willing spend a bit more if its worth it, i would like to spend around 2, nothing more than 2700 at the most.

Sweet, looks like with my throw distance and that PJ i can do 106 inches.
With my light situation what should i be looking for in my screen in terms of gain/color.
This is going to be mostly movies and sports...
