With regard to government requirements, why not have the government commune provide everything to citizens, health care, food, housing, a people's pedal-car (requiring no fuel), a home theatre, a cabin at the mountains or coast, and a boat (that also uses pedal power). No one needs to work except undocumented (and enslaved) "guests."
I don't think we ever get to "vote" about what Congress does for our "benefit" er, the benefit of government and lobbyists, or did I miss something? What we get to vote on is throwing "cons" out of office and then we get new "cons." What is it that government does well? Think about it.
