i loved pulse but part 2
This will be easy for me to skip as I hated the first one.

I didn't even know there was a part 2. Care to elaborate a bit on it, rather than just the cliche IMDB post of "it sucks" with no explanation?

part 2 and it's out?

Not as good as the first (and I know some hated the first) but an ok waste of time. Did not know Jamie Bamber (BS) was in it so that was good. One sub-plot left unfinished (maybe Pulse 3).

Set in the Pulse universe , but at times almost nothing to do with the first movie.

Pulse2 = more wooden dialogue more blonde dumb bimbos waving mobile phones in my face and more silly sub bass LFE.1 aka Baby Boom, no thanks. Does anyone want to swap Pulse region 2 for Leviathan region 1?

I thought it was a Pink Floyd reuion concert.

No, but I'll put Pulse next to Leviathan on my shelves as I like them both. Now, if you want to swap Pulse 2 for something just let me know?

No I don't plan on buying Pulse 2 for the sakes of frequency sad waterfalls of bass if you get meaning, I'd sooner buy some food instead.

Well I wonder if they will finish with the parts I thought they had left off.

Yes they have a Pulse 3 due out by years end.
Talk about quick

The US remake of Pulse was okay but the original Asian film was far better. I don't recall any Asian sequels to it as that ending didn't leave much room for one. My local Hollywood Video which gets all kinds of Z-movies (the ones you turn off after five minutes) didn't even bother with Pulse 2.

I understand some liked Pulse, but for me it was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Ever.

In "Finding Sara Marshall" Kristen Bell (playing Sara Marshall) makes a joke about starring in Pulse.

i always wonder why people watch straight to video trash and actually have expectations for it.

Okay, I was able to rent Pulse 2 from Blockbuster. I was expecting something like a Sci-Fi movie of the week film with stiff acting, tacky CG and weak story. That's not what I got. I would like in more specific terms what people didn't like about this movie?

Overall the production was fine. I think they pulled off the "apocalyptic" tone much better than in the first. The tone of impending doom was one of the trademarks of the Japanese original. I also listened to the commentary which was interesting as they used a lot of green screen to cut production costs. That even meant that some of the house and apartment scenes were green screen with multiple composites.

What I suspect here is that people just don't like the anti-technology (especially cell phone) message in the film. The director/writer says they weren't necessarily going for that but it comes off that way. According to the commentary Pulse 3 concludes the trilogy as the guy in the red outfit at the beginning figures in more. Pulse 3 is scheduled to release next Tuesday on DVD.
