This show and Justified demonstrate that good writers and actors really make for a good series.

Skyler is scared.

From the promo clips, it looks like Walt has gone fully to the Dark Side ..

This is really what makes it such a great show for me .. from the meek / mild cancer victim teacher to now .. what a metamorphosis ..

July 15th, is it .. ??

Watched the episode the other night where Hank get's attacked by the Brothers...Epic, gets better every time I see it... With the terrific Michelle Maclaren as Director, just a great episode....

For those who aren't watching the reruns and have Dish, AMC is being dropped by Dish.

Yes, spot on,...extraordinary transformation and his acting is stunningly superb.

Fell hook line and sinker for this a year ago, started from the beginning on disc,... powerful, powerful stuff. Strong, strong cast, top to bottom.

My wife and I absolutely love these such dramas, whereby the character development is so deep, so intricate, a two hour feature film can't touch this particular component of this genre. We like Sons of Anarchy, The Wire, as well. We can't stand being spoon fed, hour at a time. We like huge marathons, whereby we start early, stay up til whenever relishing in the splendid depth that these characters take you. Wonderfully entertaining....

We'll likely DVR a few episodes at a time prior to viewing,...one hour just doesn't cut it for us. We prefer BluRay/DVD in big, American sized portions.

I think you may underestimate the intelligence of AMC's audience for this show.

Most of us know it just makes ABQ look like the meth capital of New Mexico. wink.gif

Once the metamorphosis was compete, so was the series for me.

I've been hoping that we would start seeing signs of the old Walt (i.e. present him with a chance to have a career as an esteemed researcher which he always wanted) that would tempt him to return to a legitimate career but everything I've read from Vince Gilligan tells me he doesn't have any desire to do anything but take the show in one direction.

I don't know if the metamorphosis is complete .. we may end up with a "Scarface" type conclusion .. once the allure of danger and excitement sets in, it's tough to go back to the mundane .. although, I'm sure he has plenty enough cash ..

And having read or watched multiple times where Gilligan stated he was taking the show, you somehow find your self disappointed that he's doing what he said he would do?

Which is precisely the direction most of us want to see. Anything else would be a monumental cop-out. Walt's gone too far to the darkside, he's sacrified too much at this point, to let someone else do the knocking. cool.gif

Besides, there's always a chance for redemption at the end, some kind of final noble sacrifice for his family. That's how I expect to see the show wind up.
I don't care about redemption .. let Walt's family abandon him, let him grow a cartel of his own and on the final episode, go down hard ..

While that would be risky and groundbreaking, not to mention awesomely cool, I just don't seem them going there. Hope you're right, though.

The story really should end with a dead Walt, people do not survive (long term) his type lung cancer. So he might as well go out with a bang.

Did't Skyler gave most of the money away? I think they are more or less broke in terms of "soft cash", but they do have the money from the Car Wash Laundry so they won't starve.

That was my recollection, the scene with Walt lying under the house laughing maniacally about the missing money is one the signature scenes in the show, the way it was shot was fantastic.

I just hope they don't go Godfather 3 on us. You know, Walt holding the Junior's dead body mouthing Nooooooooo while Cavalleria Rusticana plays.
Didn't Walt and Jesse split the 3 mil for the three months that they ran Gus's lab?

Is the guy (partner and firm starter) on Suits the same as Gale?

That's exactly what I want to see as well. Will they have the stones to go that route?
