And Jesse in his home, seeing Walt at the door and quickly grabbing a handgun was a nice touch .. the reminiscing about the old RV and what not was nice as well .. Jesse is afraid of what Walt has become ..

I agree and can relate to the awkwardness to the conversation between the two ( long lost, found friends) and talking about the RV situation issues and all..It was definitely a nice human felt to it. I especially like that Walt gave back his cash without saying anything.

Yeah that cash looked super crisp, I assume it was for affects more than anything ..I personally would have been piss to se my hard earn cash naked like that eek.gif Not even in office style boxes with handle, just expose to the elements.

Nice to see that hours and hours of Hank investigating for a year hasn't resulted in a single arrest, yet he has his biggest clue practically handed to him while he's on the toilet. No wonder he got the promotion!

In Hank's defense, outside of Jesse all his suspects have a bad habit of dying on him before he gets enough evidence on them.

Hank just needed a little think tank time.

I am wondering what is to become of Lydia. Her tendency toward treachery and inclination to underestimate the intelligence of others makes me wonder when Walt will decide that she has to go. For the time being, of course, the incredible profitability of the Czech connection she setup for Walt serves to protect her but Lydia had still better watch her step. Nothing is forever.

Have read some speculation that the book COULD be from Gretchen (Schwartz/Black). Interesting to think about. I'll have to re-watch the season one episode about the party there - they explain the Grey Matter name there (WHITE/BLACK). And I vaguely remember the Walter/Gretchen flashback scenes when they were cleaning up from the tub incident - did Walt Whittman come up? Have to watch that again too.

She seems pretty capable of looking out for number one. She's worked her way out of three end of line situations so far. She actually always seems to be a step ahead of the fellows...

To me, the money did not look new.

It looked a lot like what you see anywhere large dollar amounts are handled. I've seen similar stacks at banks and casinos.

Keep in mind that Walter was being paid by wholesalers, not street-level users.

My question is, where is the foreign currency? Did the Czechs pay in dollars?

Lydia is certainly smart and resourceful but nobody is smarter than Walt. Lydia better think of that before cutting any corners with him. If she continues to play straight with Walt on the Czech enterprise she should be all right. I continue to suspect, though, that she just might overplay her hand. If she does, we know for a certainty from having seen Walt in action before, she is dead.

They really didn't get into much detail with Czehs, I suspect that we'll hear more about the Czech in the last Season. wink.gif

That look in Hanks eyes on the final scene was priceless .. the lightbulb definitely turned on ..

And somehow work Saul into the story . . . biggrin.gif

When Skylar showed Walt the stash of cash, I was waiting for Walt to dive into it a la Scrooge McDuck. wink.gif

I think I would watch a "Saul" spinoff. Lots of fodder - past - present - future. (assuming the Breaking Bad finish allows a future)

Walt has bought and used guns in the show before so I don't think that's too primitive for him. Sometimes it's the best tool for the job.

It looked like Walt was prepared to eliminate her when they met over the Czech deal at the diner .. he had the vial with him and then changed his mind ..

Yep - that was pretty chilling. Cold blooded murder is SOP for him now.

That's why I think it's certain his cancer has returned. He'd never make that turnaround otherwise. (In 10 months I'll probably be eating those words. tongue.gif )

I agree with this, sicne the money was sorted and wrapped not to mention being pressed down would make it look "new", without being new. Add on top of that he is only dealing with "high level" contacts the money could be "washed" already thus getting away form the street level low denominations....The Czechs could ahve paid in dollars if needed most likely, they "exchange" thier money for laundered dollars and ship it off......

He def was ready to kill her, if he needed, which is why he was hiding the vial under his hat. A quick slip into her coffeee or sprinkle on her food and its over for her. Killing her is not off the books, but at the time the Czech contact and Walts wanting to build an empire took over his desire to eliminate her..I dont think killing her is off the tables yet though, as hell do whats needed to make sure he cuts off all ties....

I don't like to beat a dead horse, but examining the money counting machine as well as the stacks on the table and the storage unit, that money looks brand new .. used money does not bundle that way .. the band holding the bundle compresses the center making it impossible to stack that neatly and is quite visible .. sorry, but my years as a Banker are coming out ..

And I'm looking at it on 110" screen ..

Gotta remember that fifties and Benjamins don't get circulated nearly as much as smaller denominations. Might help explain the "crispness".

Sorry if you guys already mention the Jesse cameo on one of The office episodes but that was brilliant as well..I don't know the connection as I'm not an Office watcher unless they're rerunning them on my local channel late at night..

I took note when Walt said he didn't want anything to drink, he made it clear it wasn't necessary wink.gif

Yes, Bryan is directing an episode this season, which is the last season. It's one of the earlier episodes if I recall...4, 5 or 6.

Yeah, I agree that Walt was prepared to poison Lydia but changed his mind after she convinced him, correctly as it turned out, that if Walt would supply his blue meth for her Czech connection, there was a bunch of money to be made.
