Many fans consider that episode one of the series' highlights. I thought it was brilliant. Diff'runt strokes, as they say....

I was enjoying him going after the fly up until he fell getting his shoe down. But the entire thing, trying to kill the fly, yawn.

I hope he gets away but Skylar and his children get caught in the crossfire.

I got nothing against Flynn/Walt Jr. he's got typical teen issues on top of his physical issues on top parental issues.

Now- Skylar... that @itch need to die in a very bad way eek.gif
How about somehow getting caught up in the car wash conveyer, ground to shreds then flushed down the drain as pulp without a trace?

I bet it's the cancer that finally catches up with Walt in the end.

You're kidding, right? Skyler was probably the only sane person on the show until she just couldn't take it any more and gave in to the money. It wasn't her fault Walt went down the path he did.

I think Skyler is a sympathetic character as well ..

Walt in Season One was faced with extreme stress due to the cancer diagnosis and the job loss, not to mention Skyler was pregnant and Walt just turned 50 .. during that time, I think many of us related to his situation, especially with his age and the scenario around Walter Jr cerebral palsy ..

Even though at that time Walt was offered help from Hank and Elliot, he turned it down ..

Thus began one of the most riveting transformations in TV history and a classic fork in the road / good / evil yarn ..

As we the fans wait for the final episodes, it's always good to take a moment and think back to where things started .. I'll surely miss the show, but like I said in an earlier post, I'm hoping Walt goes down in flames, not in a hospital bed with a morphine drip

He should pay the ultimate price for that choice he made ..

Yes- she started off as the conscience of the show- but turned out being as bad as Walt... while still busting him for his misdeeds the whole time.
I have zero sympathy for the Skylar character. I liked Mike, still like Jesse- Walt's a mixed bag, but he's turned to the dark side of the force 100% now so he's fair game to get offed in a bad way.

Marathon up and running.

I'm thinking it's the cancer that gets him, or weakens him to a point where he gives up. He had the hospital visit last season with no actual information given to the viewers. That's kind of an obvious plot point.

Whatever happens I just hope it doesn't disappoint because up til now it never has.

Way back when the first season started, Cranston was on a radio show, he told about the story of chemistry teacher having cancer and cooking meth to settle his family, the host suggested that maybe the cooking fumes would cure his cancer and he just become a drug lord, everything seems to be going that way, if Walt dies would be in a shootout by the DEA or another drug lord (well the Mexican guy is dead so maybe a Colombian)

I hope that's not it. Too easy. I'd like to see him go down in a hail of bullets, either from the DEA or a rival drug lord. Either way, I'm wondering if he's going to have any death-bed regrets or apologies to those he's hurt?

But if they just haul him off to jail for the rest of his life, that might be the worse fate of all.

No reason we can't have it both ways. Walt gets a death sentence from the doctor, no hope for treatment, and he decides to commit suicide by cartel or suicide by cop.

That's as good or better than any other potential ending I have considered. I have really enjoyed how the show has left the question whether Walt's cancer really is or is not in remission. By dong that, the writers have left themselves with a lot of options. If the quality of the final season can even approach what has gone before, we are in for a treat.

I was looking at AMC's site, it doesn't look like season 5 is part of the marathon. If anyone else wants to look and confirm this, feel free to post your thoughts.

I just looked at VOD for Dish. AMC has season 5, so I can watch it there now.

I've been doing my own rewatch on Blu-ray before the final episodes. Shouldn't we be due a trailer for the new season sometime soon? Just a little over a month away now.

I've watched the first ten episodes of the series that have been aired on the last couple Friday night/early Saturday slots. I also downloaded via VOD the most recent eight episodes, but I ended up watching them out of sequence when I discovered they would expire in 14 days. I couldn't be assured they'd remain available for re-download.

It doesn't seem like they have enough time to air all of the first four seasons at this pace before Aug. 11. Maybe they will increase the number of episodes in weeks not yet visible in program guides.

As for the VOD episodes...they're letterboxed even on a 16:9 screen, and are of lesser quality than the normal episodes I've recently recorded from the actual AMC HD channel (on DirecTV, in my case).

I'm going to be awfully disappointed when both Dexter and Breaking Bad are done in a few months. I think both series conclude on consecutive Sundays.

I am watching them through Dish from AMC on demand, the quality is in HD for me just as good as the Friday episodes on AMC. As for the marathon, it does appear that it ends with season 4, thats why I am watching season 5 right now.

I see in your later post, that you found what you need. If I'm not mistaken, they usually run a super-marathon the day/night before and the day of the premier and show the previous season and up to date of the current season, usually leading right into the new showing. In other words, I would expect all of season #4 on Saturday;/Saturday night and all of the previous Season #5 episodes on Sunday prior to the premier of the new Season #5 show.

Yup, already watched 4 out of the 8 of season 5, lol.
