Wonderful article. Slovis comes across not merely as a genius at what he does but also as a humble and gracious man who knows how lucky he was to have caught this particular stroke of lightning in a bottle.

The best piece of news in that article? The fact that they insisted on shooting the show on film, an increasingly expensive process these day (the Studio allowed them 11,000 feet per day) and that Sony intends to do a 4K transfer! Can't do that if you film it on HD digital media. OMG, can you imagine how awesome that's going to look on a compatible display? eek.gif

Yep. From The Hollywood Reporter...

"Everything and anything in Albuquerque is seemingly Breaking Bad related, especially when it comes to local commerce. Seemingly every storefront window is full of Breaking Bad paraphernalia. In fact, some businesses have seen their profits skyrocket as a result of their Breaking Bad-themed products. Debbie Ball, owner of the The Candy Lady and creator of the "crystal meth" used for the show's first two seasons, sells little baggies of blue-dyed rock sugar for a buck.

She can thank Bryan Cranston, who gave David Letterman a bag of the candy on his show in 2012. That moment spurred the idea of capitalizing on her Breaking Bad-themed confection. "About 20 to 30 percent of sales are Breaking Bad related," Ball says. "Our store plateaued for a while, and a year ago we could have shut down." Now, Ball can sell up to 5,000 bags a week, in addition to upward of 300 Breaking Bad T-shirts.

Breaking Bad broke good with The Candy Lady, who's since gone on to launch a Breaking Bad limo tour -- though that hasn't been as big a hit as her candy."

I guess it is real ..

This candy thing opens up a whole new set of possibilities ..

Imagine breaking out a small baggie of it along with a large Bowie knife, laying a piece on a table and crushing it before snorting a big hit and then jumping up and spouting gibberish at the top of your lungs .. while at a neighborhood barbeque ..

Or better yet, simulate a Los Pollos Hermanos Chicken Batter Bucket with some gooey looking batter in it and then reaching in and pulling out a large bag of the candy .. ??

I wonder if she has to pay some sort of royalty .. ??

I fabricated a couple Tuco Grill Paperweights as gifts for two relatives that are also big fans of the show and they both said I should make them to sell .. I just never got into it further ..

It ends by running the credits.

recorded a few episodes from the AMC BB marathon and noticed that Anna Gunn looked better in Season 1...more natural...looks like she had some work done on her face in the later seasons
