Help with purchase.

I can purchase the Panasonic TH-50PX80U for $900+ tax OR
The TH-50PZ80U for $1530+ tax OR
The TH50PZ85U for 1620+ tax

Also the TH-42PX80U is $720+ tax
The TH-42PZ80U IS $ 900+ TAX.

Are these good prices? Is the difference in price between the 1080p and
720p worth that big a difference in price?
I am leaning toward the 50" more than the 42" but the 42" 720p seems to be a great price. This is for the bedroom. I will be approx 15 foot from the television.
This purchase will have a Dish HD Receiver and a Toshiba HD A30 connected to it.
Money is not a big problem but I am tight with my money. Thanks in advance.

I can vouch that the 42pz80u is in fact a GREAT price at $900! Is this an online store and does this include shipping? If that's a national B&M store, I'm going to be going in for a price adjustment. I paid $989.

It does not include shipping or tax. The price is $1000 at Sears BUT you get a 10% discount when you use a Sears card to purchase. If you purchase at the store the saving is instant; If you purchase online, you have to apply for a Rebate. Delivery in my area shows to be 65 dollars.
Do you believe the Z is worth $180 over the X on the 42"?

Save yourself 5-600+ dollars and go for the 50PX. It's an awesome HDTV and I'm sure you'll find it very difficult to tell the difference between 720p and 1080p. Especially from 15 feet away. Impossible actually.

i second the px80u.
but please get the 50" otherwise you will be kicking yourself watching a 42" from 15ft.
Im picking up a 50"px tomorrow am from sears or CC. Same price right now.

I'd go for the 50". For one thing...bigger is always better and you're sitting 15 feet away from the TV...I think you'll need the bigger tv otherwise you might end up regretting it. At that distance I don't know or think 1080P matters but its a matter of choice....but yea go for the 50"...you won't regret it

Good Luck!

I agree with everyone here...the 50PX80 would be the best choice in terms of price and value.
