since i cant get the Reference IV from bby they are out for an option.
The wb-14 will work fine as surround L/R correct? i have been asking a lot at bby but i dont want to buy speakers again for a long time.
I have some JBL scs180.6's now. so it will be a nice upgrade.
can we move this to my other thread so this thread can stay on topic?

. Ok, we'll continue the discussion here. The WB-14s will certainly work as surrounds. Would you be shifting your SCS180.6's to rear back surround use then?ASIDE
: You could always use the SCS 180.6s as the (side) surround speakers and use the WB-14s for the back (rear) surrounds too. That might almost be a better solution. You could try a temporary setup and see how well that works (when you get to that stage). Along with the WF-34's for the L/Rs and the WC-24 center, that would be a nice matched setup (except for the 180.6s).Another Solution
: The WB-14s are not quite as good as surrounds as the WS-24s would be (which are designed for surround sound use). However, they will certainly work at that job (I'm using a pair of similar speakers as my surrounds right now - and they work quite good). You just have to mount them high up on the walls on each side (and slightly behind - for a single row of seating) of the listening position, and aimed towards each other (surround channel are supposed to be "diffuse").
You can always use the WB-14s for surround duty, and then, eventually, get a pair of WS-24's and shift the WB-14's (again) to the rear back surrounds in a full 7.1 channel system. That's my plan, as I further upgrade my system. However, see my "aside" above.
