Best compact 5.1 setup under 1200?

I'm looking to purchase a set of compact 5.1 speakers for ~1200. I've done some research and really like the idea of KEF 3005 SE, or the Mirage Omnisat v2. I'm open to suggestions though!

The omnisat setup I was thinking about would be 2 FS, 1CC, 2SS, and an omni S-8 sub.

The KEF's would be the standard 3005 SE setup.

I'm placing this in a home theater, 14X13 with 12ft ceilings. I don't have any seating in the room it's simply 2 giant(8ft) bean bag chairs. I have an Onkyo 705 to power the speakers. These speakers would be 80% HT, 20% music.

Thanks

BIC Acoustech Cinema Series

Will get to you around 700-800 dollars shipped including a Hsu designed subwoofer. This is what I just purchased. I read a lot on here before i made my choice. MSRP on this set of speakers is 1200 bucks.

sigh*

3x Ascend 170 SE, upright, identical, on the same plane for perfect front stage.
~$525

Pair of Behringer Truth 2030p for surrounds.
~$130

Sub, however much is good enough, and the rest of budget, and I do mean rest, and then save some more, for room treatments, and particularly bass trapping.

Voila.

Y'all can stop flaming each other and have an intellectual conversation -- isn't that why we read/write on the definitive AV forum?

I know no one on this forum will agree to which speakers are best, and the solution to everyones problem is "audition them." The reason why I posted the question is so I could find the speakers to audition.

Back to business: why would you choose the Behringer for SS? Wouldn't I be better served by having sonically matched 170s all the way around? For that matter wouldn't I be better off picking up the 340s for the fronts/center and the 170's in the back? I could get that setup for 1040 shipped. If I did pick the Ascends I would buy a used HSU sub, according to their forums they work really well together.

BTW I appreciate everyone's suggestion and would implore for more. Thanks
