Paradigm Studio 100 v4 with CC-590

Hello all,

I have a set of Paradigm Studio 100s with CC-590 which I bought last week.
Now, after a closer look at the specs... (i wish i did that sooner) I realized that CC-590 has way less power than 100s. It seems like 100s should go with CC-690, which are huge...

I would appreciate your input here. Heeelp!

Don't read too much into the spec's. Your 590 will be fine. Make sure your level's match.

Please excuse my ignorance, but what levels are you talking about? EQ?

Using a SPL Meter, enter the setup of your receiver and either manually adjust the output of each speaker to the same level on the meter. Some receivers have an auto setup (like Audessey), but I prefer to manually adjust, with my particular equipment.

It is not the speaker that has the power it is the amp and the amp doesn't really care what the speakers are capable of, chances are you will be listening to your system at about 1 watt to reach 85-90dbs(reasonbly loud like in a movie theater) with peaks reaching 105 dbs requiring about 50-100W depending on the amount of bass in the sound and how far away you will be and room size etc.. As long as the power reaching the speakers is clean, not clipped or distorted(which can happen with too small of an amp) the speakers will be fine.

The more important part is that the center match the sonic signature the mains have for pans from Left to Right.
