Onkyo SR606 sub issue

I have the Harman Kardon HKTS-18 speaker system (5.1). The sub was working for the first few months I had the speakers, but now it is not registering a signal from the receiver. Wondering if anyone has experienced the receiver failing to provide amplification to the sub or other speakers? I had my system professionally installed, so I am going to assume it isn't install error.

Maybe not an install problem, but you wouldn't be the first to find that their subwoofer is in the weeds. I had one the Auto On failed on, a recent poster hooked his sub to an old receiver and found it didn't work there either.

Check your crossovers are set to "full" for the fronts and centres in the speaker setup menu

If they are, then you wont have any signal going to the SW unless you are running a 5.1 audio track.

Change the cross overs on the fronts and centre to 60 or 80Hz and all that feed will go to the SW. It will leave more headroom for the amp also.

If you leave the fronts and centre on "full", then you need to turn on "double bass". This will send all 120Hz and lower signals both to the fronts and centre, but also the SW.

how can I find out if the sub is at fault if I dont have another receiver?

I had a blu-ray movie in and noticed the sub wasn't working.
