This IS big news! I hope you aren't pulling my leg.
I hope web standards can hold firm at flash v9 for a while, because this never ending cycle of newer flash players is just creating more problems than good, imo. Newer, fancier players are just more reason for silly CPU hog antics and memory-bloat issues. Anybody remember when the internet was more about accessing information than watching videos? All this flash stuff is just so they could make all videos "watch-only", as opposed to downloadable. Arguably, that was satisfied at v7, so this endless upgrade track is a measure of overkill upon overkill. Adobe should find more legitimate avenues for revenue!
I don't have much to argue about the current ps3 browser, as far as making it do more. I think it is fine for keep it simple and slim. If they are going to work on it, just make it more snappy and bullet-proof for memory issues. If somebody else wants to work on an uber browser for ps3, that is fine, too.
