Maybe that is just too much to expect these days
but for people like me that have older DVD-A players
that can only send the DVD-A 5.1 source out analog
this is a bit disappointing whereby not being able to apply
the latest 3D room optimization to the source.
There is just so many hopes for Trinnov to be the ground breaking room correction for all sources
but for those people like me where HD Audio is more important than what exists on Blue Ray today I still have questions.
Now if HD Audio starts coming out on Blue Ray Mastered in DTS-MA or Dolby True that would be fine
for new HD Audio but until now DVA-A and HD 2 Channel 24 Bit/96kHz download media such as Music Giants offerings
seems to be as good as it gets for HD Audio enthusiasts.
Well I guess I should tip my hat to Sony SACD.
Can I go out and buy another DVD-A player for under $200 that supports DVD-A over HDMI 1.3?
Yes but Trinnov applied to Analog DVD-A was something I had hoped for.
There are other AVRs out there with latest Brown Burrs on all channels.Do I really need to question again what DACs Sherwood is using?
We know what DSPs are used but as far as what DACs are used in the R972 it is still in the closet.
When audio be it 2 channel or 5.1 still remains 95% of what I will use in a AVR or Pre/Pro choice
I have to question how all these 2008 offerings stack up in that dimension.
