I recently decided to upgrade my system. Right now I have a Denon receiver, Altec Lansing fronts, Paradigm S-2 center, and Paradigm mini monitors as surrounds. I've been wanting to upgrade the fronts for a while to get something that matches better, but also want more detail in my music and better imaging. The signatures beat my Altec Lansings hands down. I love the midrange /high end detail, and imaging of the sigs. I'm not sure if sigs will satisfy me because I like a full bass extention. To make a long story short I am debating the Sig 4's vs the Studio 100 v4's. I think ultimately the S6's would suit my needs, but can't find them used and they would exceed my budget. My long term plan has been running S2's for surrounds to match my center. Has anyone ever tried swapping midrange drivers on the sigs and studio 100's? Is it possible? I will finally get a chance to demo the new 100's soon, and I may discover there is not much difference between the sigs. Anyone have thoughts on my idea?
