Powerpoint Presentation to PS3 custom theater intro

Has anyone made a powerpoint presentation with custom audio and video clips for an introduction video before you play your feature?
I think this is possible with use of a PS3 and an MP4 container as long as the video and audio in your presentation is compatible with the PS3.

I haven't done this with a Powerpoint presentation nor do I have a PS3...

What I can offer is that rather than using Powerpoint, I would just use video editing software to make the video.

The most simple way to do this is to just use Windows Moviemaker. It comes free with your Windows operating system. It can do slideshows quite easily. Then once you have it done, export it out. (It will save it to WMV or AVI) then just use Super to convert it to m2ts for the PS3 (Or some other conversion software that others may know of...)

Just my 2 cents worth but powerpoint would be the last thing I would try to use. It may work and it may be quite easy, but for my money, I'd use a video editing program.

Windows movie maker is way to primitive.
I would like to do something through Powerpoint which has many more options for animations, transitions, etc...
m2ts is this a container or a type of video file?
All of the different file types and containers confuse me.

I had some fun with Animoto.com yesterday using the free demo. But you can do a longer version if you pay a nominal fee. It costs to download or have them burn a DVD but it may be worth it.

Try Camtasia. http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.asp We use it all the time at the office to do demos.

The only reason I offered Windows Moviemaker is because it is free which is what most people are looking for.

What I personally use to do what you are wanting to do are the following programs:

Adobe After Effects
Adobe Premiere
Sony Vegas

That's funny...

I think the same thing about Powerpoint.
Seriously, if you plan on making any video, Powerpoint is NOT the way to go. But I like a challenge so, if you are like myself then you may just want to do it so you can say that you did, which is cool.

m2ts is the proprietary format that Sony uses internally in the PS3...

Not sure if it will play other formats or not... (refer to the Custom Hi Definition thread by Volley) they have talked about this over in that thread and can offer more answers on m2ts than I ever could...

I know what you mean... Wish they could just create 1 standard and stick to it but alas, that will never be...

Will the Camtasia save the recording in a format that the PS3 can display?

Anyone still toying with this? I tried animoto and its pretty low res and choppy and artifacty...does this get better with a paid subscription?

I want to make an HD demo like the HBO Blu-ray demos like 2-3 minutes long with an entire song (Tracy Chapman's "Change" for example)

Anyone know if this is possible with any of this software or something else?

Thanks,

Thanks,
