Worth the dough?

I currently have an Onkyo TX-SR606 (just a couple of months old) and speakers from an old Kenwood HtiB.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Only you'll know if its for you. Have you audition these speakers yet to see if you like it? Have you been able to compare these speakers with other speakers in this price range? I don't know if it's worth it but we can definately give you other options to look at if you want.

I haven't heard Klipsch sub but dont forget to look at some ID subs from SVS, HSU, Epik

I would recommend listening to the Klipschs in person. They have a distinctive sound that you'll either love or hate. I auditioned some RF82's side by side with a pair of Polk RTi-10's and I was shocked by how bright and brassy the Klipschs sounded compared to the smoother Polks. Definitely not for me, but it's your money. Go listen to them.

1500 will get you some pretty nice speakers from the internet companies such as ascend acoustics or SVS. Food for thought if you don't like the Klipsch's.

I don't like the balance of it if you are prioritizing home theater, and it's not a particularly good price either.

CC will eventually clear these speakers out at quite a large discount so if you're loving on them just wait until the new models come out.

For $1,500 I'd be looking for more sub and a stronger center channel. With home theater big front towers are less important if you have a good sub.

I work at CC and most everything in our store should be coming down in price within the next week or two. Also, that package is a rip off!! If you listened to them and like the sound, then go on Ebay.com and buy the BIC Acoustech package. Its like half the price and sounds waay better! For that much money you can def. get better than Klipsch's Synergy line. I would just wait a second and research before you jump the gun. I promise you'll be happy you just waited a bit and researched and go something more worth your money. Good luck!

I agree. I wouldn't accept Klipsch speakers for free, much less pay for them!

If you are looking for a smaller form factor 5.1 system, go audition the pro cinema from def tech: http://www.definitivetech.com/loudsp...procinema.html

You can get great deals on-line of the pro cinema system for almost 40% less than the price of those Klipsch.

I certainly hope that you have better equipment than listed in your profile. If not you should accept anything that is offered free.
