Dave Mack -- At least they aren't charging MSRP (= $3499). They are closer to the MAP, which we are not supposed to post here. But it's still too high a price (given the online prices of it's competition , like the PT-AE3000).
If I can't negotiate a lower price, I may either just go with the HC5500, the AE3000, or wait until Mitsubishi decides to drop it's online sales restriction (in that order). My current 720p PJ can't do justice to my new BD player and BD discs, so I'm getting impatient.
Art uses a 128" Firehawk in his personal HT room, and had no problem using it (http://www.projectorreviews.com/mits...nce.php#screen). He prefers a bright picture too. He did say that he zoomed the picture to a smaller size for watching sports programs over TV (which he likes really bright with some ambient light. Read his entire review for all the details.
