I am just finishing up my 2nd DIY as we speak. I have to apply finish to the bottom, then I can install everything! After that, SDX10 'mid-bass' module is in the hopper!
No problem! smile.gif

The enclosures were actually fully built and finished by them. I wish I had some of the handy wood working skills (and tools) some of the DIY'ers have! lol Only thing I had to do was to drop in the drivers. smile.gif

Looks good. I like how all the wood matches. Do you notice a difference running the subs front firing?

Actually the woods are all slightly different which sometimes gets my OCD going. lol Close enough though....

I can't say I've noticed an audible difference with the Hsu subs firing into the room. I really did it for the visual impact smile.gif

2 DIY Trio12's. The large one is with dual opposed 12" passive radiators. The one on the left is a downfiring trio12 with a single 15" PR in the front. It is on its side in this picture because I didn't put legs on yet.

BFM Tuba HT. Recently completed. I should have built a mock-up. This is a little large for my space. Considering a Cinema F-20 to replace.

You just finished that thing and you're feeling DIY'ers remorse? I think it looks great.

Thanks. Not so much remorse, I should have went with the THT LP. The dimensions of the taller version may fit the space a bit better. The room is 30'x15'. First DIY project and I had a blast building.

I feel for ya, my home theater/sub etc "floated" in two feet of the Susquehanna river that decided to invade our home in Sept 11'....over 14months ago and still cleaning mud off something every day! It does get better every day though!

Its gotten a LOT better in 90 days and a LOT of hard work. But there is something always to do or fix for now. And trying to find everything I saved or salvaged. Hey, I wish you the best, its definitely an odyssey, one I would not wish upon anyone.
Those poor folks who lost everything to Sandy.......I really feel for them. Watching saltwater invade your home and being helpless to stop it is something I will never forget, nor the aftermath.

Here is my SVS pb12 NSD in my bedroom. Don't think i could get a bigger sub in my 14 x15 bedroom. It does rock the small room.

2100 cubic feet, I have short ceilings in the basement so I had to make due. 21x15x7. 7 feet is more like 78 inches tall. I just put them thru the ringer with THD sine wave tests and I have more headroom then I thought.

I'm sure you have more headroom now; with that setup the ceiling height is probably up to 8 feet by this point... tongue.gif

I ran a 130 dB sine wave at 20, 15, and 10hz. 20 and 15 were under 7% THD and the 10hz was 11.8% THD. 10% THD at 10 hz occurs at 127.5 dBs.

That's incredible! So you don't really watch movies then, you get Boxing by them instead? biggrin.gif

Movies never hit those levels. I do run them hot to hit 125 dBS often but that is my preference, 5 dBs hot.

Theater-new 024.jpg 434k .jpg file DSCN1846.JPG 437k .JPG file DSCN1849.JPG 417k .JPG file So these are my subs : DTS-10, left front; JBL 5749 (2 x 2242), right front; and finally a TD-18H along the wall adjacent to the couch. Amps for the subs are a QSC4050HD Crown XLS 5000. The big JBL 4622's are actively bi-amped, each using a Crown Dsi-1000. I have an additional JBL 2245 going in a cabinet matching the TD-18 (8 cu. ft) along the other wall.
