Those are gorgeous! And that graph you posted showing response down to 5Hz? That's equally impressive. How big is your room?

Bill, let me know when you're ready for a 5th Seaton... ;-)

Thanks! I'm not married, but I did want something that didn't scream, "Ugly black subwoofer boxes with rough cuts held together via tons of PL Premium!"

And, the price tag of $1125 all in for both was worth it. smile.gif Granted, if you include the price of the MiniDSP 2x4 Balanced & the EP4000 + fan mod, I'm around $1500 total for the whole kit 'n caboodle. Still, a spectacular value. smile.gif

Thanks, Jim. It's 18x12 but open to the entire rest of this rental house through large openings, so it's ~3500ft3. The point that bossobass has made over and over again here is that just a few quality 15" subs in a very small, gorgeous, thoughtfully-constructed sealed package can, with signal shaping, reproduce all the content on a disc.

I spent a heck of a lot less on these gorgeous things than most people spend on one single, ugly black 15" box sub. And, clearly, the results speak for themselves. cool.gif

Dayton Referece 18" and 12" in sealed boxes.

I've thought about it but with the new rig and all I think I am done with upgrading. How long ago was it when I sold you those HSU's?

Recently moved to a new house and, due to space and layout constraints, I currently have one of my Hsu VYF-3's sitting on my entertainment center. I have to say it sounds pretty decent -- no rattles, even when it's really thumping.

^^ Nice! I've actually been looking for an ottoman just like that, where did you get it?

Burlington Coat Factory, believe it or not. But to be honest, there are better ones out there that I wish I'd bought for a little more money...

Not much to what some of you have, but AV equipment here in Australia is immensely expensive! This is just our family room and used daily (hence the tiles) but overall sounds great considering the hard surfaces. That's a couple of SVS SB13 Ultras in the pic.

Those the studio line or signature? Which model? And center channel to? Just interested. I really love paradigm and your setup is close to what I want to get.

That's really nice equipment no matter where you are! Clean setup falconxr6. I'm sure it sounds pretty incredible. By the way, what is the brand of furniture? I like the clean contemporary look they have.

The floorstanders are the Paradigm Studio 100V5's and the centre channel is the Paradigm Signature C5. I went from the Studio CC590 to 690 centre but I disliked them both immensely. They had a "squawkiness" (in my room anyway) in the midrange that I hated and was not evident on the old Monitor CC290 or any other centre I have owned, and there has been a few! The C5 was a revelation and sounds simply brilliant. I would have liked some Paradigm S8's but although they do sound slightly better than the 100's in my opinion they are not worth the $9000 asking price here in Australia.

Thanks. The AV cabinet came from www.sleekconcepts.com.au and is called a Lucid 1200 but this is Australia down under only. No doubt you will have a distributor in your country there. The rest of the furniture came from various retailers such as your Wal-Mart etc.

just want to share my small, simple and humble HT set up.

Thanks. You're right, no dealer here I could find. My wife and I very much like contemporary furniture. Most of our furniture is from Norway and Denmark (Skovby and Ekornes) and other furniture that fits the same style. The site you sent from Sleek Concepts looks like it fits right in.

Are those speakers the Deltalite-12 kits?

Those are the Fusion Tempest but are sealed instead of ported. I wanted slim speakers and the woofers work well in a 1cu ft enclosures so I built an enclosure that measures 22.5H x 10D x 16W" external. The Roll off starts a little higher (100hz) than the sealed Deltalites(80hz) but in room they dig a little deeper. Audyssey set the crossover for LCR to 60hz but I bumped it up to 100hz.

How do you like them so far? I think my buddy is going to get me to build him three of the Fusion-10 Max speakers.

I would have gone with some Fusion-15 Sentinel's for my LCR's if I hadn't just bought some JTR Noesis 228HT's.
