No picture or sound with ps3 to 32LG30 LG hdtv

Hello I just got a 32LG30 LG 32inch lcd hdtv and i get no picture or sound with the hdmi cable. I have tried many things including doing system reset by holding the power button to turn on while in standby mode. NOTHING. I tried using the standard component cables to change it to hdmi in setting. NOTHING. but i do have sound and video with component cables.I have tried turning on the ps3 after i turn on the tv and vice virsa. NOTHING. My 360 worked fine the first time i hooked it up,no problems. I tried using the same hdmi cables from the 360 on the ps3,nothing and using different hdmi slots on the back of the tv and still nothing. Can someone please help thk you

I have been reading many forums and I think it might be a firmware problems anyone have any ideas about that

I think doing the firmware is the best thing, but i cant find anything on the net on how to do it......any helpers
