Have to have a new reciever...

Just picked up a pair of b&w 604s3 towers, also got htm62 center, and a pair of m1 surrounds. Need help deciding on a reciever and sub to complete my setup. Working with a $1500 budget.

lessee... given the budget, i'd spend 500 on the avr, and 1000 on the sub...

pio 1018 seems to be popular and fits the (theoretical) budget breakdown... sub forum would be the best place to look for sub recommendation, but i'll warn you, you will get MANY different opinions... a few people who's opinion i respect seem to REALLY like the rythmik subs (sealed, please), and you'll get a lot of positive feedback on svs and hsu...

good luck, and remember it's supposed to be fun...

imo, there shouldn't be any problem at all... i had a set of s603s3 towers, using 601s3's as surrounds and htm600 center, and my old yammy rxv-750 drove them to reference level with no issues... those speakers aren't particularly difficult to drive...
