TX-SR706 or RX-V863 which one to choose?

OK so these amps are similarly priced and spec sheets look similar. I don't care about number of hdmi imputs, if I run out I'll get a switch. Not concerned about preamp outs either. I am concerned about amplification, video processing, Audessey v/s YPAO, and any other performance points some of you more knowlegable might know.
Receiver Choices:

Onkyo TX-SR706 or Yamaha RX-V863 or Pioneer Elite VSX-03TXH?

Speaker setup:
Center channel: NS-C444

Presence: NS-6490

Front R/L: NS-A100XT

Surround R/L NS-6490

Someone weigh in even if its just your opinion...

It's the weekend, what do you expect?

Did you read the threads for these receivers? The 663 thread will tell you almost anything you want to know about the 863 as they are really similar. I think the 863 may do a few more things with video and has a bit more power.

I am sure that Onkyo is well covered by threads.

Yup plenty on the Yammie and Onkyo, but not much on the Pio.....

Impressions and opinions from this forum say a lot, just looking for some consensus.

I was comparing similar receivers myself.

If you are considering Yamaha RX-V863, take a look at RX-V1800. They are slightly
different, but RX-V1800 is higher model in lineup and has more than enough specs
to satisfy me.

I've just got one from 6th Ave. Right now, you should be able to get V1800 for less
than V863.

Good luck.
