Could you please send me a PM with the firmware update for the BDP-S300. I'm sure it's a hassle, but I would really appreciate it. I am a new member, but I noticed that you were helping new members at the beginning of this thread.

With all due respect. The Sony BDP-S300 is the poorest excuse for a BD/DVD player. I bought 2 at the same time after returning there $1200.00 player. another piece of $hit. I feel I have a right to say that being $800.00 lighter in the pockets for the experience. Please save yourself time and pain and A.S.A.P. dump them!! Wont play any new and various older BD's. STD.DVD's are bettered by my old Pioneer DV-45 and my old Denon DVD-2910 kills them both. Sony, you got a lot guts to produce a product like this just to promote Blu-ray. There should be a return credit for the purchase and another credit of $400.00 for pain and suffering or make it a credit for new Blu-ray BD's. Renmeister

Donnie, is there anywhere online I can download a Mac app that will update the firmware to V 4.5 on my vintage Sony BDP-S300? Sony tech service has not responded to my email and it sounds like you're the Man!

Where can I get the mac firmware for the update just released a couple of days ago?

For all of those Mac users out there that can't extract the .iso from the .exe file, I've extracted the file and uploaded it to an online file sharing site:
