Worse than the 1080UB, yes. Worse than the extremely
soft picture and dust stricken AE2000, I don't know.
The Z3000 has the exact same panels as the AE3000 and 6500UB, which I believe gives it a better chance to compete this time around. Unless you're a gamer or just want to save $100, you might want to look more into the competition. The Z3000 will probably be best for gaming since it's relying on 100% Pixelworks processing, and has a dust removal feature. Less Brightness/Lumens than the Epson and Panasonic.
The 6500UB has combined Reon and Pixelworks processing. Peteer has shown us that it isn't all that bad for gaming once the advanced reon processing is disabled. The 6500 is the overall
best LCD projector this winter. Great black levels, acceptable gaming performance, good brightness, great movie processing.
The Panasonic AE3000 is improved upon the AE2000 in the sharpness area, but still has dust blob issues. Better black levels and brightness than the Z3000.
